Random notes in no order:
Who was on the yamaha emerging from the abyss on one of the transport sections? All I remember is someone indicating to slow down, then round the corner a blue bike coming in from the greenery… (reminded me of the big bore 2 stroke days)
Damn decreasing radius corners on many transport sections – we’re lucky we lost only two riders – some roads would have been much faster in reverse
DUST? is someone training for finke next year? why wasn’t a sprinkle of rain ordered for saturday? (Don’t tell me there was no control over the weather – I want solutions not problems damn it!). It made me really appreciate the finke racers and the bitumen sections really had me thinking about the isle of man tt racers…
The old dude on the air cooled yamaha – IF i have to change fork seals so should he (Old AL???) top work on the ride fella – gave me inspiration for the next few years.
To the girls – top effort – just remember to weight the outside footpeg through corners and nail it on the way out….
Hamburgers should have been advertised as a feed for two
Sixty wheels, 200+kms (against generally hard and rocky sections) and No punctures -pretty good strike rate there !
