That first section must be pretty hard core Moto, Seeing as though you madeit up Rutzilla unaided and you needed a hand to get up that shiney looking rock section. I could only imagine how slippery that would be in the wet!!!
Also a lesson learnt there for KLX riders, radiator braces are a must if the fuel tap can punch a hole in the radiator.

It was recommended to me, to stop the occasional ping that the XR has. I haven’t tried it yet though. Anyone got an opinion on that theory?

Then again, I am sick of looking at XR’s today.
I think you will find that 2nd gear is a weak point on them, although slipping isn’t a symptom of the the common problem, more of a grinding noise is a sign they aint happy.

I just fitted another cam with out the auto decomp on the mongrel thing and got it to fire. Seems as though the auto decomp was holding an exhaust valve open.
I didn’t try and run it as it is too late and dunno if I will get to it tomorrow,I will keep you posted.I will not let this beat me.
