Prior to flipping my XR,the last bike I flipped was a DS80 and I quickly worked out I can’t run very fast in thongs after 6 beers.
I have even flipped a Kawasaki Z1100:blush: on the road. That hurt my wallet somewhat. It is a CR500 look alike, especially for the XR600.

Quote:I reckon it looks alright Mick, it soes look higher than the original though. I hope you were saying it looks more ‘MX’er’ with your tongue buried deep into your cheek :laugh:Nah mate I was bein rooly fair dinkum mate, it looks fully sik.
What are you trying to say MOTO? After all the expence I went to,it still isn’t a race bike yet?
LOL
In reality it has more of a MX’er line to the backend now as opposed to the agricultural/industrial look it had before.Just went to the shed and unbolted it again and dropped the guard by 2″ at the end and it just doesn’t look right as it doesn’t match the lines of the bike and a big gap between the guard and the seat appears.
It has taken on more of a MX’er look now. I am happy with the way it looks so that is all that matters ay?Two totally different shape guards, the original has 45 degree bend in it and the new one is straight. Once you sit on the bike the new guard is relatively parallel to the ground. It will come down a little when it is bolted in proper.
That is the angle of the shot, I just lined up the guard to follow the line of the seat and side covers and all is good.
It looks sweet, heaps better than it did before. Here is how the BRP’s big fat arse end looked before last nights operation.
Here she is with her new slim look.
Here is what came off, total weight 2.3kg.
The new tail light and guard weighed approx 400 grams so the total weight saved is actually 1.9kg. Also considering I got rid of the stock ten tonne pipe she is much lighter and slimmer in the nether regions now.
Total cost of the guard and light replacement $133.00 plus six beers.

Quote:You might get her down to less than a metric ton at this rate :laugh:Look out when I do!!!!
I spoke to Ant this morning and he said he has never experienced heat and wind like it. His inlaws are only about 2 km from his place and if it wasn’t for ELVIS dumping water on their place all would have been lost.He said the smoke was that thick he couldn’t see across the road. Pretty scary stuff.

Quote:No you can’t use the differential in weight distribution as an excuse when you fall of doing your next wheelie :laugh:That will be when she gets the front end reduced,ie the 5kg headlight assembly.
