Bearing in mind this ping only started as soon as I fitted the 38mm Mikuni.Would a bigger carby say 41mm made any difference?
I have since learned to ride the beast in a fashion to reduce the ping.ie avoid labouring and winding the throttle on when labouring.

Here on record I will retract any statement belittling moto on his choice of beers.
I tried some of the Barefoot Radler on Saturday and it is in fact a very nice beer. It is very refreshing, although I dunno if I would like to have a session on it as it is a bit sweet for my taste. A good beer none the less.

If it stops the pinging I will give it a go as I have pretty well exhausted all avenues.
Someone else suggested octane booster as in that valve saver stuff that you squirt into your petrol.I already use premium so what are your thoughts on that?
Because the ping is in the third quarter of the rev range under load,going on TB’s jetting chart he posted the mixture screw would have little effect.Have i got that right.
THe mikuni has an air screw not a fuel screw.
