WTF!!!You mad pack of ijits. How’d I miss this crazy thread!!! The last post from Tiny was a bit how do you do and it went down hill from there!!
This needs moooooving to the Bull pit I think. Moto?I have to have a MRI scan in the next week or so, once I have that they will know if I need surgery to fix it. Not good news at all,I would have preferred a break,I think.
UPDATE…….. I have been to the orthopedic dude this arvo and got the all clear for breaks, “beauty” I thought for a short moment…..However, it appears that I have ruptured a thing called the posterier tibialis tendon.
The one of the tendons responsible for making your foot go up and down and around and around. It is also from what I can work out one of the important ones when it comes to kick starting XR600’s.
He said he couldn’t trust me to keep it still, so as punishment he put me in a full plaster cast, for at least another 2 weeks…….Bugger.

Does it come with a fancy jacket?? If not, I wouldn’t swap my XR for it!!
I was just thinking that the pivot bit might not work so good after a bit of a grind down the road..
Any idea what they retail for?I wonder how they will stand up to a decent crash.
The snoring I was referring to was coming from the general vicinity of the Oldbull trailer.
You are right Moto,It was good to have a whole weekend on the turps,I still would have preferred to ride though:(
After some of the snoring I heard on the weekend my missus hasn’t got a thing to whinge about!!

Leading up to the Xmas party there was much speculation whether I would actually leave my comfort zone here at Wauchope and turn up. In all honesty, it was the most anticipated event all year for me.
Once I knew I had an unconditional leave pass and all was good to go I set about getting the Wauchope Boys acts together with weekly Friday arvo meetings and the like.
I had lists written out and the XR tuned perfectly in preparation and was really keen to get down to the much raved about Wattagans to see what all the hype was about.
I cannot put into words my disappointment, when the weekend before the event I screwed up badly and the doctor saw the need to put my foot in plaster.
From that moment on, as you could imagine my enthusiasm took a serious nose dive but I was determined to prove TB wrong and I still intended turning up.
As the weather reports weren’t looking all that promising for hobbling around in the bush on crutches trying to keep a plaster cast clean. I went and saw Lamby at Lamb’s motor trimming in Wauchope and he knocked up a really nifty vinyl boot for my cast which made it possible for me to get around a whole lot better. Once I had that, my enthusiasm went up a notch or two and I was keen to get down there and put some faces to names and have a fizzy drink or two.
A special thanks goes to the Wauchope Boys who helped me get there and ensured I was comfortable, as in all reality, being on crutches I was a liability and of not much use around the camp site.
Anyhow, with all that said, I had a great time, although the hardest part of the weekend was when everyone roared of on the Saturday morning and all of a sudden it was just me and the Currawongs. This time alone allowed me to contemplate my stupidity.
Although I wasn’t alone long as,15 minutes later Mac roars back into the camp with a front brake calliper hanging off, being experienced in such matters I went about robbing a bolt from his triple clamp and sent him on his way, then before you know it,Wikdbeemer was back with a holed radiator on the new Beemer,What a crap bit of luck, 6km into the ride!!
It was pretty obvious that the radiator was screwed and his ride was over. The roast meat from the spit was one of the highlights of the weekend and Mac andScooter did and admirable job keeping everyone fed, even though Mac near got his head blown off in a mini gas explosion bought on by a gas leak in the spit!!
Here is a picture of Scooter getting the meat ready……The Saturday night was great, the laughs were coming thick and fast and so were the beers. Congratulations to all the guys who won prizes, Moose was especially pleased with winning the riding gear as he had something dry to wear on the Sunday loop..
Here are a couple of other random pics I took……..
Sunday mornings line up…..
Luke AKA Gasit repairing a flat tire…
It turned out to be hard yakka and he had to take his shirt off…….
Maybe in hind sight, he should have utilized TB’s tire service!!!
There were plenty of highlights over the weekend, here are a couple that come to mind…..
*Actually finding the campsite in the pea soup fog
*Moto and RiderX’s sycronised crash routine in the camp area
*Moto’s little dummy spit, when he threw his chair in the fire
*The fire was good, big thanks to Chicken for the wood and Choppers dedication to keeping the fire stoked.
*Tiny, when he was gunna headbutt Moto for the roostage.
*Fossil living up to his name and sitting motionless in a comatose state for ages
*The meat from the spit.
*the split watermelon grin RiderX was wearing all weekend
The biggest high light though would have to be meeting new members and catching up with old mates. Thanks to everyone that came and made it the great weekend it was and I look forward to the day I actually get to ride with you all.
