What really put me off the GSXR, is the local copper said to me that they scrape up more GSXR riders, off the Oxley Highway than all the other bikes put together.

What year?MadMacs
It was a 2004 mod, all was good untill the missus found out what I was up to!! :S
QBE seem to be the cheapest for Green slips as well. I was looking at buying a GSXR750 and NRMA wanted $1200+ to insure it for fire theft etc ,and QBE quoted $750.It certainly pays to shop around and not take the first quote.
Imagine what it costs for a 20 year old to insure one.:ohmy:All Hail King Tiny!!!
OK, to keep a peaceful medium, is there one available that allows more airflow than the conventional after market ones on most bikes.
8. Scott recommends against the use of plate-type skidplates. You got it, he feels they restrict air flow and trap engine heat.
Exactly what I said the other day. Hence no bash plate on my XR.
Well done Tiny,They are a couple of nice Jew mate.It seems you have them sorted. What did they go?
Yeah Shane it seems to be running well.I did notice she spluttered (minor splutter) a couple of times when trying to keep at 50kmh in town.(Mid revs)
It was running lean mid range under load before I lifted the needle, now if you let it idle for a minute and give her a rev show blows smoke.
Since I lifted the needle on Geoff Ballard’s advice, the ping has gone, now another problem rears it’s head. She is running too rich now and blowing a bit of black smoke. It is certainly running well though. I put a new plug in when I raised the needle and here is a pic of the new plug with the old plug. The new plug is on the right. Looks real rich to me, where to now??

Quote:Mick, I have never ridden using this style of tyre yet. From what I have read elsewhere the normal front tyre is sufficient. It would fit quite nicely on that YZ250F of yours. My 250F is still in Japan and will remain there untill our Aussie dollar gets better. How is it that the Yanks stuff up their economy and their dollar is still heaps stronger than ours and ours is up and down like a brides nighty??
I rode Gasits Gasser today, those things go good!! Gasit was frigging around with jets today so I reckon he can help you out Ollie. Maybe he will tell you about the smaller base gasket while he is at it. Come on Luke, spill your guts.
Having never ridden in the sand before, can I ask a dumb question ? When using a chunky back tyre like that ,does a normal MX style front tyre suffice?
Don’t click on it and it wont worry you. Then all is good.
