Hey Badmanners (great user name!) Welcome to OBT and thanks for the intro. Get hooked up with the boys from down your way and I guarantee you’ll have some great adventures on the dirt!
Cheers
MickJust ride the bloody thing, just like your are going to ride it and all should be good I think. Oil change after the first ride, or couple of hours, what ever comes first.
Just don’t rev the shyte out of it or lugg it, seems to be a popular run in method, going on all the replies.
July 8, 2012 at 5:02 pm in reply to: Old Bull-ette’s (KatGirl & Flying Fish) do APC Rally 2012 #225702Hey Kat, I like what you did with the notches on the front guard to keep the fender bag in check. Just as an extra measure, it may pay to run a zip tie through the tag on the zipper and tether it to your headlight shroud. I have lost a couple of fender bags over the years (one happened to be TB’s and he still hasn’t let me forget it), since doing the zip tie thing, it has come off several times but hasn’t never been lost again.
I was just speaking to TB as they were headed for Cooktown and it appears they are getting a little wet as it is now raining up there.
Going on the forecast, they have a couple of days rain ahead of them too. :huh:Good one Snowy, I can only imaginge the silly tracks you are gunna lead us on, in the Cells now. :pinch:
Gday Rocket.
Just about to fire up the XR and do a snappy 100kms around Bago!Top of the day to you Lotsa!
Cheers

No worries Razzle. I fixed it up for ya!
You are gunna love the 100km loop I have down here at Wauchope!
Cheers
MickIf it is 4T and it is a honda knock off, I am betting that the air box is full of grass. Moose has a CRF70 that plays up a treat when the airbox sucks in a heap of grass. The air intake is near the rear wheel, which allows it to pick up crap when used on grass tracks.

July 4, 2012 at 10:39 pm in reply to: New to Old Bull, new to Kempsey area, returning to dirt #225560Gday Razzle. Welcome to OBT and thanks for the intro. As Singletrackmind (STM) said, there is some great riding going on, up to 2 hrs either side of you.
I am at Wauchope and am happy to help you put some scratches on your new bike!
Good to see another Mac user here too. Some of us know better.
Cheers
MickYeah Bundy, I am thinking 1.5 turns from full in.
It is a Fuel screw when it is on the engine side of the carby and the air screw is on the filter side as a rule.
Is it pre mix or oil injected?
Not revving out can be caused by the air screw, lifting up the needle by one notch is something to try if dicking with the airscrew doesn’t work. Blocked air filter is something obvious that you would have already checked?
