Probably has something to do with your screen size as it displays fine on a 17″ screen.

Must be your computer??????? What sized monitor do you have? Actually, the forum displays differently on my Mac at home as opposed to my work PC.

I made a XR600 rear wheel bearing retainer removing tool out of
Some threaded bar and a pedal off a broken lift stand.

Yeah I am with moto on the Left hand avatars and I would rather the catagories first as opposed to recent discussions, but like all things new I could get used to it, except the avatar thing.

Necessity is the mother of all invention and that is what this thread is about, getting the bike home or an ingenious fix so you can ride.

Crippy managed to get a XR250 front wheel onto a Husaberg that had smashed it’s rim in the Cells river region, so as to get it out to a trailer. Zip ties were used on that occasion, maybe he could fill us in on the details.

also, another word of advise, when chucking a wheelie, keep your right foot on the rear brake pedal,it is very hard to run at 60kmh in moto boots!!! :pinch:

I have only just started trying the sit down wheelies and am getting a bit better. I’ve progressed to 3rd gear now, just need to learn nothcing it up a gear mid wheelie, that’s the next step. I was doing all the way home on the road, get to about 55Km/h, handful of throttle and drop the clucth. I was worried about doing past a police car though:dry:

I haven’t even tried a stand up wheelie yet, could be something for the next ride. I don’t stand up much when I ride though it would feel all weird![/quote]

When I change gears doing a wheelie, I have found it best not to use the clutch while changing gears, then you have to remember to take the pressure off the gear lever or you can’t change up again as you build up speed. If you know what I mean.
