You are a bit lippy lately, whiskers. For that sort of terrain, 12kmh is quite fast thanks Dave.

Mac, it is about an 8 km loop through medium to tight single trail, trough loamy She oak scrub then up the side of a bit of a rocky hill through a hardwood forest, nothing really gnarly. It is the same track they held round 2 of the Aussie off road series this year on. It is like a tag team event with a Le Mans start where You and your partner go lap for lap for four hours. Yet someone like you Mac, would probably be considering going for the Ironman title and riding the full four hours on your own.:woohoo:
As I said it is a club day,so only a few guys really take it serious, last year some guys were dressed as fairies with pink wings and all. I have never raced it but have been the sweep rider for the last 3 events.

Nah smiling mate as we had another two just like it. I pulled the unmarked trap up on a Flattie spinner, so my good luck in my book.
    How’s that for fisho talk???

Nah TB, it is a proper race. A club day none the less, but a few sheep stations could be on the line.

Iron man means just that, it is ball breaking stuff.Especially if the day is hot. They usually get about 150+ riders to race. You can use two bikes or your partner and you can share one.
I wouldn’t be suprised to see Aussie off road champ Chris Hollis race on the day.

Especially if you have a reciept that says you only paid $500 for it.

Now that is dedication, reminds me of last friday night when I had a heap of guys around for beers and it was my wedding anniversary, the reception inside the house was somewhat icy when I stuck my head in at 8pm “slightly” drunk.

Sorry Moto, I missed the question about import duties……..
There are no import duties payable anymore (except on second hand exhaust systems), you pay 10% gst on the purchase price of the bike ,the cost of the shipping and the insurance.
You also have to apply to import the bike through DOTARS and there is a $50 application fee. Quarantine will want to wash your bike as well,no matter how clean it is and they usually sting you $100 for that as well.
You said it was your bike already?? You may also be eligable to import it as a personal import which would allow you to register it regardless of ADR’s, but that is a whole different kettle of fish.
The easiest way to import them is to bring them in as an off road vehicle, but that way it can never be registered for road use which doesn’t matter for the bikes I import as they are all motocrossers.

A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool.. After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split.

The waitress asked kindly, ‘Crushed nuts?’

    ‘No,’ he replied, ‘Arthritis.’
