Quote:Mick, i would be interested in those tools. Also theres a guy at work who is looking for a full tool box kit, if you can get any cattle dogs let me know!Get in Ant’s ear when you are up here next and organise a deal.
Have I ever mentioned that my brother Ant is the Australasian importer of KTC tools?
He has several of those tool rolls for sale, if anyone is interested.I dunno how much they are
but I can vouch they are of the best quality tools. I might find out how much and post them
in the for sale section soon.
I did notice the other day he had the mother of all tension wrenches there,
The bloody thing is about 4 feet long!!I don’t have a bumbag but carry a couple of tool rolls in the Camelbac. The tool roll is made by KTC (Japans Snapon equivelant).
One has the tools……
The Other has spares, levers, tyre repair kit and the like…..
It all weighs in at close to 2kg though and i have been considering getting a bumbag to distribute some of the weight a bit better, as after a long ride with a heavy Camelpak I have been experiencing a bit of trouble with my neck.
I will say it again, guys who carry all the required gear and can use it, are a pleasure to ride with as they can save the ride from turning to shit when things go wrong.Yeah I want a couple of XR600 ones. Are you still thinking about coming up here in August??? We will talk before then anyhow. Good to know you have them.
Got any for XR600’s???? They look very similar to the one in the pic.
O’right MacGyver, The precedent has been set.I love riding with guys that prepared!!!
If you cant get the bloody thing to go with all that, it’s stuffed.
Out of interest, what does your Felix the Cat bag, weigh?Mate footage of the TM running is so rare it should be on Myth Busters or That’s Incredible!!!!!LOL
Put your bike on a stand to take all the weight off the suspension.
Pick a spot toward the rear of the swing arm as a reference point, then mark it with a pen.
Measure the distance between the two marks. (Write this number down on a piece of paper)
Then totally geared up (helmet included), sit on the bike in a neutral position
Hey TB when you sit on the bike, I am guessing it is now back off the stand on flat ground. Correct?
This is something I have been meaning to do to the XR and my son’s KX but not known exactly what to do. Great post,Again.Well wasn’t that worth the wait!!!! What an impressive line up old mate.:woohoo:
What is the 2 banger Katie I see there? To upload a pic try this Ollie….

Quote:I am long term unemployed. It is too embarassing to say how long. Was once a Telecommunications Project Manager in banking and finance. My life turned to shit, so I decided to have a break for a while. Wasn’t able to get back into that field again and to be honest, I’d had enough after 20 years. I then worked as a sales assistant at a 4wd accessories store, which ended going belly up.I am now at the stage where I really don’t know what I want to do.(mid life crisis??) Preferably something associated with fishing or boating or 4wd’s or dirtbikes.
Nothing wrong with that, I am 43 and still can’t work out what I want to do with my life as far as work goes. After about 6 years, any job gets past it’s use by date with me.
Mate, that is what after sales service is all about. You get what you pay for ,not like another mob that I know that distributes shit boots made by some chinaman called Oneal!!!
Garmin is the way I will probably go.welcome aboard Mal, we have plenty of members from down your way. Be warned though, from what I have worked out, they may lead you astray.
That is GOLD. Well done mate!!!! This needs to be a sticky!!
