Yeah, how do you clean the chain on a ditch witch? Telstra will put an optic fibre cable in that trench you dug!!!
Mick’s chain cleaning method is, wait until all the mud has dried and take it for a hot lap around the block dry. By the time you get home all the dried mud has flung off and she is good for some lube then. Works on O ring chains.

I was supposed to pick up the Tm today but Torque Motocycles called me yesterday (sunday) to say that the stator was goosed as well and he would have to get a new one from Cessnock, he had put it all together but could,nt get a spark so he took a stator from one of his clients bike to try it and she fired ok, so its another week of waiting, I must say tho that I would never look at another TM again and I,m now wanting to change it asap,,, 300KTM is looking good,, cheers dunk

I am in two minds re that bloody TM,I am not sure if I want to see the thing last more than 50km or never see the wretched thing again.

All good fun though, once you have done it more than once the pucker factor diminishes considerably.

    Mac 2 Mick 1 and catching up:lol:

Man, you should have heard it when the spoke snapped and seen the ugly bit of riding that kept the bike upright with the front wheel locked up. Moose was amazed that I stayed on !!
BTW Gilli you have been down that slimy rut from memory. It gets deeper every week.
The best thing about it, you can be guaranteed that no one is coming the other way because no one could get up that section, she is all one way traffic and that is down.

Ba ha ha.Every man for himself on one of our rides!!! As if I was gunna stop the Big Red Pig on that hill while I still had momentum. Only way you would have seen me stop is if you had of knocked my head off with one of those big boulders you were flicking up at me of your back wheel.
Are you coming on the 15th of August?

Man How snotty was that hill!!!! It looks like you couldn’t even walk on it, let alone ride.
The Big Red pig would have some serious roost happening ,If i tried getting up there.
BTW were exactly is Clarence? Mushy pine needles are a pretty rare commodity up our way.
    Great pics and Video.

There was only two starters this morning.Ol mate who rides the CAT630 was a no show, so Moose, who’s eyes were still bleeding from last night’s efforts and who had a distinct perfume of bourbon happening and I set out at 8am in the morning cold.
The purpose was to find some new single trail for the Sydney boy’s August ride in the Bago Forest.
A bit of rain during the week set the scene for perfect conditions, plenty of mud and no dust.
Any how we found some great trails that lead to Comboyne Rock and back to Wauchope via the Rut………..

    rut_1652.jpg

The boys who have been to this spot will vouch it is the deepest rut ever. No big offs to report, I stalled the pig and dropped her on a hill and had to go back down to get a run up at it. Saw some more cows but was overly cautious around them.
I did have a bit of a moment when a stick some how went through my spokes and caused the front wheel to lock up momentarily before the stick snapped.
It didn’t sound good so I pulled up and found this hanging out the side of my front wheel…..

    spoke409.jpg

That broken one and several other bent spokes,so there is a bit of spannering to do before the next ride.
So Zippo the scene is set for another ripper ride in my back yard.
