Still a fair chance that you get a “ride” in.
TB is your man Axel. He is fast and he is cheap……………………… doesn’t charge much either.
Nice scooter Scotty! Nice timing too, we are about to announce a new site sponser and they are a Husky dealer and no doubt they will look after you.
Cheers
MickGday Dave, Welcome to OBT and thanks for the intro
I can see Cairncross from my house but haven’t ridden it in ages, pretty well since they logged around Tower road. Must get out there again for a look. Telepoint has got some good stuff happening up towards Cooperabung too, it must be you guys that are keeping it clear and open?
Cheers
MickGday XT600,
Welcome to OBT and thanks for the intro. Plenty of rides going on that will suit your XT, especially around your area.Cheers
MickMaybe if you bought the Piglet to the party, someone could knock up a plywood ramp and you too could become a Youtube sensation?
I have seen TB lace wheels while he was having a drink he was Smashed actually!!
He can get it as good as new.
He did one in my shed one night. Proof is here…
pete the wulf wrote:That’s awesome, I don’t think I can fit enough courage in my panniers for a move like that. :woohoo:
I still haven’t ordered some spokes so the piglet will stay at homeI now have a spare postie back wheel at home if you want it. It is a bit rusty though, dunno if it would handle any “Postie stunts” .
Great pics and ride report! Thanks for sharing!
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. It appears that I should have been a little more specific. I had the same bar raisers on my XR600 that I fitted all by myself
and I was so happy with them :woohoo: , I got a set for the 650 as well. I clean forgot that it was TB that fitted them to my 650 and rerouted my cables. Sorry I didn’t mention that in my previous post.
Hope that clears things up.
Here is my set up for my bars, no bling factor just a cheap, practical way of raising your bars and making a bit more cockpit space. The bar risers were $60 or near abouts and the Renthal fat bars were about $150. I have crashed and dropped the bike too many times to even think about and they haven’t moved or bent at all.
What is wrong with your carbie do you think? The stock carbs are pretty bullet proof, so it may only be an adjustment issue.
Ace wrote:Those parts would nearly classify as museum pieces nowdays wouldn’t they TB   Might be worth heaps in a few years! :laugh:You need all the ‘bling’ you can get with the ‘lounge chair’ mate
Ace Ace Ace…….. Bite your tongue champ. :pinch:
Up until now I had considered you as “OK’……….. now……………I dunno.
TB, if you get some fancy new wheels. I might be interested in the other ones sometime in the future
Nickj wrote:Great find MickIn England the Step Thru was a standard introduction into the world of motorcycling and once the 1 forward 2 back gears were mastered the only thing left to do was see how far you could jump it in the paddock :woohoo:
where’s the pics of you leg out mate ???
Nick
Hey Nick,
It is amazing how many parts are available for this bike in the UK on ebay. They must have been really popular over there! Here is a video with Charlie Borman proclaiming that they were the best motorcycle ever!
Uncle Fester wrote:I did my P plate test on one of these many moons ago (my dads bike). The bloke at Mt Druitt RTA said get it up to 50kph and perform an emergency stop. I just cracked up laughing and said at 110 kg it would get up to about 50 kph flat out going down hill over about a km. The car park was only about 50 metres long. Still got my Ps as he was still laughing with the other examiners as I left the RTA office.Fester I could only imagine what you looked like riding a Cub 90!!
It was funny enough seeing you on your daughters pink pit bike!!
Jeffro wrote:It’s not unlike my first “bike” only mine was red. It still had the wind break/fairing thingy like yours Mick. Not sure of the model only that it was referred to as a Honda 90 Step through.Yeah, that’s right Jeffro, a mate of mine had a blue one like it when we were kids, (prior to him getting a brand new YZ80E) and we just used to call it “The Steppie”.
