Have another look and see if you can work it out Boony. No doubt the admins will fix it.
Done……. all fixed now Boony. Don’t worry yourself.
I have a plan to round up some postie bikes. Stay tuned.
I totally agree with you Pete. Well said.
Trailboss wrote:The thing that had me shaking me head was you didnt tell anyone else you needed to be home by 2pm until you were all suited up in the driveway at my place ready to leave, Kram was talking about some cool tracks home to ride and avoid the bitumen and you dropped the clanger     :pinch:
All is well that ends well, you made it. Its supposed to be an adventureTB
Ummmmm Bullshit.
That is the reason I was originally gunna slab it from your place and you convinced me that it wouldn’t be much time difference going with Pete via Wisemans, as the Holiday traffic would be hell at Beresfield, if I remember rightly. :S
No real harm done as I did have an Adventure and saw some great scenery. I wore a bit of wife strife when I got home but I am still married so that is all that matters…..
pete the wulf wrote:Mick you penis neck   :laugh:Noooo!! Were the veins in my neck sticking out? Righto, who told you to say that? That is one of my sayings.
Yeah I did crack it! Not one of my better moments.
It all started when I realised it was 1.30 pm and I had ASSURED my wife I would be home at 2pm NO LATER. And I was still 100km’s south west of Newcastle. :S  4hrs minimum, ride still to go!!
Then, I took off, with my sunglasses ($265 pair from the optometrists) still on the back of my bike. They fell off and were promptly run over by a VW transporter. That was the catalyst for me cracking the shits,. Which turns out to be a good thing, as I slabbed it from there and still arrived home after dark. Half an hour before we were due at a restaurant 20kms from here in Port Macquarie.
Great report so far, Pete!!
I am still laughing about the thong – tong caper!
Looking forward to the next part of your report…..except for the bit when I cracked the shits.
hOw much are you looking to spend Cressy?
I have a 2003 Husky CR250 that needs bugger all work to bring it back to like new. Fork seal, 2 tyres and she is ready to race.
Asking $2700

I didn’t have a book to follow. I dunno how many ft/lb I did the nut up at, I just used intuition and all seems good. 80ft/lb does sound pretty freaking tight though. :S
Sounds like you may have too much preload on the bearing? I just nipped up the castlated nut with the home made tool I fabricated out of a 19mm impact socket, so that there was no sideways movement on the swing arm then put the swingarm pivot bolt in. Have you tried backing off the swingarm bolt to see if that stops the binding?
