    LIVE REPORT

OK, 50km’s into the trip and Nickj’s Tenere is being loaded onto a ute, diagnosed with terminal clutch issues (makes a wild noise when the clutch is pulled in), at this very moment they are loading all Nick’s gear onto Steve from Adventure Motos BMW800, so the journey can continue.

More updates as they become available.

I love a happy ending. Trouble is, the scum that stole it will only get a slap on the wrist or some other token punishment.

I can’t believe that I watched the whole 5 minutes of that video. Considering I already know how good the iMacs are!!! I was waiting to see Madonna’s arse I think.

Dunno why I want to see it again.

    I have already been there!

Vstrom? Hahahhaa I only know a few blokes that have or had them. Bent foot pegs, fairings falling off, and incredibly slow up Plomer road. (even with a good rider at the helm). Sorry Toes, there are better adv bikes on market. There’s a bite, LOL

Gday Zoro, thanks for the intro. You won me purely with the mention of the XR’s!! ;) I currently own a XR650R set up for trail riding as opposed to ADV. Out of the 3 bikes you mentioned the XR would be my last choice for long distance ADV riding, although the XR650 is a very capable bike for the job, I think the other 2 bikes are better suited for ADV.
You could set up a very trick DR650 for about what it cost to buy the base model Tenere though. A few guys on here could give you a better idea about that, as they have built a project DR650 last year.
Just wait for them to find your intro and they will tell you alll about it.
Again thanks for the intro and welcome to OBT.
    Cheers
    Mick

From memory TB did a similar thing off his back verandah with a DRZ, I don’t think it ended that well though. I could be wrong though.

No worries Jeffro, I usually crack the first beer at about 4.45pm.
