Now there’s an excuse right there! I will organize that it gets delivered here, then you don’t have to get that shiny ute of yours all dirty on Mooses road.
Coming up Friday are you Jeffro? Should come over for a fizzy drink Friday Arvo! I haven’t decided what I am gunna do on the weekend yet. Just got my boat all set up and registered again today.Seriously thinking about doing a spot of fishing on the weekend actually, depends on the weather reports.
Great tip about buying a helmet when some doofus forgets theirs! Thanks for the ride report.
Looks like a fun ride, great reports guys. Let’s see how long Jeffro does hang onto this bike.
Hey Lefty,
Here is the tutorial I did on fitting the XR600 cam chain adjuster that I spoke to you about.http://www.obtrailriders.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=8&id=31216&Itemid=75#31226
Good reports boys, Glad you like the new scooter Boony. I can only imaging the workout you will give us, the next time we hit the Cells.
Nope, it isn’t me, I am still enjoying my XR650 and if I want to have a go on a 250 I have a YZ250F in the shed already.
And TB, I will happily tip people if I think they deserve it, nearly as quick as I will tell them to get @#$&ed if I think they deserve it.
The road is in such a bad state, that the local gun riders around here use it as a training ground for Finke. It is hard to explain what it is like to someone that hasn’t ridden it. It certainly is a fun bit of track on the XR650!
no but I did share it in a thread that I started about rebuilding Tripper’s top end. it is in the Honda section from memory.
Hey Lefty, did you weld up the oil port under the auto decomp on the stock cam shaft when you removed it?
Nice work Lefty, I always love when a new engine rebuild fires up for the first time.
axel wrote:I say he wont stack the first ride. Or rather, no one will see him stack and he will speak nothing of it.Axel is probably right, Boony is a cunning bit of work! I bet he crashes more than he lets on and most likely jumps up nearly as fast as TB can.

If so get a manual one.
Oh better check the rings or piston etc whatever caused Moose’s same model to be rebuilt the first time as well for blowing smoke and burning oil
TB
I think the buggered piston had something to do with an incorrectly fitted air filter.
If it anything like Moose’s Kato of the same model, it probably will wind over on the starter for a second or two, throw its cam chain, lock up and get pushed back on the trailer!

A XR600 or a DR650, then you have the best of both worlds!
