I have had a ton of luck with KX65’s. A great little bike that is tough as nails, cheap to run and goes like the clappers. If he is wringing the TTR’s neck a 2 stroker is what he needs.

If you need some advice on what to do in December in the States, Aido. I can give you some great ideas.
ECKS-Man wrote:Welcome back Mick, sounds like a helluva trip mate! Who’s heading to Uncle Mick’s for the slide show?? 👿Bought a new fancy camera, so there are 2500 pics to look at if you are interested.
Thanks Bollocks, your post has saved me a ton of reading ( none of which was a surprise to me).
Anyhow I would haven’t been able to read it, as I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard.
Without a doubt one of the funniest posts I have read on here! That will be a contender for the funniest posts for this year. Makes me be glad to be back! Thanks fellas, I look forward to the challenge of keeping you guys in line for another year. Thanks Jeffro,
yeah it was a great trip, one of those chances of a lifetime. I am glad we made the effort to go.(no new bikes for a while though)toes wrote:Come on Micknmeld ,you would have to be one of the most hospitable guys i know.
For example, that poor unfortunate 18 year old girl you found in the middle of the bush, wearing only a small amount of clothing,
miles from no where, your kindness is impressive to say the least, alowing her to jump on the back of your bike for 20klm to get her home.
(nabiac ride)Always ready to help.
One of the high lights of my riding career that was!
Great story Ace, I to have been at the receiving end of some classic hospitality when a ride went to shit after a bee sting in the eye and 5 flat tyres. That is one of the reasons why I will go out of my way to help a fellow rider when their day goes to shit.
OK guys, thanks for another great year on the trails and for some bloody funny times online.
I have been a bit busy traveling as of late and have been a little quiet online but I will be home soon and be back online proper then.
After three years of moderating the site, the break has done me good and I am looking forward to getting back into it and knocking heads with you all soon.
Thanks to TB and Chris, not only for keeping the site up and running but for all the behind the scenes work that goes unnoticed by the masses.
There have been a heap of highlights for me throughout the year, some of the more notable for me in no particular order would be, The Cells trips with the Tamworth boys, the Kundabung run, the Run to gingers Creek on my birthday ride in the fog,The Karuah House boat weekend, the weekends we spent sweeping the Aussie off road series and the numerous shed parties at my place. Some moments I would rather forget would be the run to Nabiac with Kram when I got 5 flat tyres and a bee sting in the eye, another would be the next run to
Nabiac in 42 degree heat through the Valley of doom!
I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us!
happy new year everyone!
cheers
MickHoley shit! You certainly dusted yourself up mate! good to hear that it is all OK. When I first saw the photo, I presumed that you had accidentally strayed into the kill zone behind TB’s 650! Well done to the boys that helped you out in what certainly sounds like a real moment of need.Catch you in the new year champ!
Cheers
mickMerry Xmas to all our OBT mates! it is still Xmas eve here on America and we are partying pretty hard. thanks to all the members that have made another great year on the trails! Wishing you and your families a fantastic Xmas and a happy New year!
Cheers
Mick, Melissa, Connor and TaylahHi y’all, I have been a bit quiet as of late as like TB says I am in the good old US of A. I am currently in New Orleans and I only get limited time with the iPad as I have to wrestle it off the rest of my family just to get a minute or two online. I will be back in OZ in early January. I have been up in the desert in Arizona, checking out some amazing XR650 country!
Nice bike Nick! good find at that price! welcome to the honda team mate! After riding the DRZ, your are gunna take some catching on that little rocket!
Strewth! Glad I was out of the country, otherwise I would have had a phone call at some bizarre hour! Looks like a good night, except for the nail gun
Incident , rest assured Chris, TB didn’t do it on purpose, he would have shot you in the arse if he did do it on purpose!Good stuff Wolfie! I can still remember the look on my sons face on Xmas morning when he got his first bike 6 years ago! It is a great feeling. That was a PW80 and now he is on a YZ250f, so get used to the idea of parting with your hard earned once they have the bike bug
!Actually I think I spotted you the other day getting around Wauchope on the TTR. Welcome to the site.I am actually overseas at the moment but when I get back we will be doing a few runs through Bago forest.
Cheers
