Nice ding there Jeffro, did you feel the hit when it happened or was it one of many?
Big ride thanks to all. My GPS logged 480km all up from home but the bike speedo said 500km  I think the GPS is wrong
Well the new panniers worked well and I had a lot of gear in them and nothing came loose, oh except for my left hand mirror which I tightened 3 times and put it in the pannier the 4th time.
Arrived at Denman with 235km on the speedo from Morisett fillup and used 11.1 litres from the main tank with 0.9 l left. Still 14l left in the Safari tank so the Cameron Corner trip mileage is looking pretty good @ about 500km depending on conditions (heavy going in sand)
Wayne, I’ll make some jumper leads for the corner trip so next time we can jump start yer bike

Saw this ride report on Offroad explorer tonight. A trip to Camerons corner cut short by wet weather.
Some photos of the rail maint. track we will be travelling.
Hope we get better weather than these guys.http://www.offroadexplorer.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&p=9825#p9825

Quote:Bollocks has organised a Satellite phone for the support vehicle and as we maybe separated by a fair distance at times I reckon the bikes should have one as wellI have looked into the hire of a Satellite phone and this appears to be the best deal. We can hire it from Sydney and send it back from White Cliffs etc if we want.
A levy of $15 to $20 per rider will cover hire and freight back of the phone if that’s OK with everyone?

Sounds like cheap insurance to me. Never know when we might need it.
Mick
Ian, you going to try and talk Graeme Pav into coming along.

Anaconda at Penrith still have 7 Garmin 60 CSX GPS’s available at $299.
They will have these back in stock early next week.
I just ordered one to be delivered @ $6.95 for postage as I live too far away from them to pick up.
So if any one is after one you can phone them at Penrith on 02 47330250Mick

I will have KMZ and GPX files from the putty meet point to Denman and also an alternate route back via commission rd ready this evening.. They should be coming your way via email tonight Lotsa..
Anyone else who wants them send me your email address via PM…
I know that from the where you pop out at putty rd from the yengo to denman via putty it will be 125 K’s.. Not sure what the K’s are from Wyong to that point as I do not know the exact route.
Cheers…
Chris………..Chris, its going to be crowded at the back
Some distances that I know (from google)
Lake Munmorah – Braithwaite park Wyong 25km
Braithwaite park to Ourimbah SF, Yarramalong, Cedar Brush Creek, Murrays Run then Laguna 63km
Laguna to Howes Valley via Yengo and Howes valley trail 48km
Howes Valley to Putty Valley Rd. 25kmDon’t know the distance from Putty Valley Rd to Denman???
Hey Kat, what sort of distance do you get from your standard tank? Carry an empty coke bottle and we would be able to transfer fuel. If Krusty says its 125km from Putty Valley rd to Denman and its 73km from laguna to PVR then 200km would be the range (provided Laguna store is open for fuel). Shit its going to be another BIG day, better get my Airhawk seat organized :ohmy:Mick
Attempt #2 :silly: :silly:

We had to replace one on my sons KTM 450 when his sprocket bolts cam loose and tore the sprocket and hub mounting bolts to pieces (he was out riding with Lotsa at the time)
I think it cost him about $450 all up then with relacing.Mick
