Good vids Squiggles
certainly brings back some sphincter clenching cussing moments along Eskdale Rd.
We went in the opposite direction last year on our way home from the Birthday ride weekend when it was pea soup fog, rain and roos everywhere
Definitely a memorable weekend
Thanks again to TB, Flying fish, PTW, Strucky, Crash, all the support crew and sponsors for organising the weekends ride.

Hi Guys & Girls
just an update on Waynes (Lotsa) conditionI spoke to him last night and he was in good spirits and would like to thank everyone for their well wishes and said he would try to post up when he can.
As you know he has broken ribs, punctured lung, spleen and some kidney damage. They are doing some more scans/tests today to see how he is progressing.
He also asked to thank all those that helped him at the scene.
We are lucky to live in a country with good emergency services as the the ambos were on the scene in about 50 mins with the helicopter loaded with doctors not far behind. Wayne had a 10min flight to Orange hospital and it took us 3 hours by the the most direct route to get back to Orange.

Farmers have used similar hand protection for years
but maybe not as fancy.
Old mates hand guards at last years TK Memorial ride were pretty cool – they go with your old jersey 😆 😆

gavb wrote:Apparently the angle on these is the same. The offset is how far forward the fork centreline is from the pivot centre line. What is 3mm among friends…..Gav it makes a biggg difference – you can notice quite a difference even when you move the forks up/down in the triple grips 10mm which changes the rake of the forks.
Pushing them down slows the steering (more stable at higher speed but slower to turn at slow speeds)
So if you have an extra 3mm it will have a much more noticeable affect than just pushing your forks down and make it slower to turn in the slower tighter stuff.

gavb wrote:Does any one have a KTM lower Triple Clamp to Suit KTM LC4 640 05 modI just pulled my fork apart to re seal and found one of the lower sides of the Triple Clamp to be a tad looser than they should be. Found a crack most of the way through.
Diameter is 60mm
Centre Distance 190mm2 1/2 week till the Next GPS Ride PLEASE HELP
Gav I’ve got one but it attached to a DR650
I suppose you have checked, a new one is about $300 if available in AU
Coffs JDK M/C wreckers have a complete set off an 04 LC$ for $300, but they may only be for 57mm forks. The adventures look to have larger forks

Hi Ace
hope you guys have a great trip.Just looking at the photos of your bike with all the gear loaded – looks good but I would not rely on only occy straps to hold gear on the back rack. Some of the $2 bemer webbing straps work great and you know your gear will still be there when you get home.
