Greg, sorry to hear the knee is playing up again.
I hope the book has good instructions because I have been looking on Google maps and I dont seem to be able to link up the tracks from Putty Valley Rd to Martindale Rd. Anyway it will be a good explore even if we do get lost.Mick
You’ve got me. I’ll try and contact Wayne as he has gone out for dinner tonite.

Pick the bike back up 2morrow. mmmmmmMick
What happened to the brownie points on Sunday!!!
I think I will have to score brownie points, no ride tomorrow
mick
Jeffro,
bike looks great with bling on it already. GREAT
Bring on the Corner ride – doesn’t matter really what bike you take, some more fun?? some more comfort??
Hard decision :S
The dilemma of having bikes to choose from
Probably any bike will do the job – take a postie  :laugh:Mick
Well I’m glad someone is being screwed or about to be and enjoying it!!
Mick
Menace you amaze me, all that crack from years gone by does not appear to have affected you in the long run. Good reply.
I dont think us NSW bike riders would mind paying the CTP insurance if it was a similar scheme to Vics TAC, but we as far as I know get no benefit from the CTP system unless someone else runs into us and we claim against them. The CTP system in NSW does not cover the rider at fault, but I think all car drivers are now covered for at fault claims.
Take TB’s get off the other week, he cannot claim against his CTP insurance for his medical/loss of income etc. If a car driver had the accident and got thrown out of his car and injured (or injured in the car), he would be able to claim against his CTP. I find this very discriminitry against the biking fraternity.Thats my main beef about CTP insurance for bikers in NSW and is why I posted this thread.

Bring on the stories of failed electric legs!!Unfortunately ??? a lot of manufacturers now are not providing a back up kick starter with their electric leg bikes. But I would not own a bike without the magic button these days (Going soft// Yep) Most fuel injection systems require a decent size battery to operate.
I can just see you going up to your local Hells Angel group telling them quote “People with electric start bikes suck yes you heard it right you are all a mob of *&$!”

The jumper leads look good Scott, all you need for a bike.
I was going to make up a small set to take away on the Camerons corner ride JUST IN CASEMick

If we are riding through the sand along the Dingo Fence for any great distance, then The DRZ would be easier to handle than something bigger.Jeffro thats why I’m taking the 690 as against the GS800.
Mick
Tent for me
Mick
Nickj,
I don’t think you will have any trouble with mileage with the 606 for the trip on your DRZ400. Lotsa has just fitted Pirelli MT21’s front and back to his DR650 to try. Also I’m just about to put an MT21 on the front of my 690 and a 606 on the rear so there will be some reports coming back on those before we leave for the ride.Mick
Had to take my BM up to Newcastle today to have my faulty heated grip replaced before hitting the Alps next week.
Had a tour of the bike shops while waiting (what else do you do) and jagged a new Safari tank for my 690 at a bargain price of $499 from Newcastle KTM. Shop soiled Lincon said, a bit of dust on it. I told told him it would get alot more dust on it where we are going. :laugh:Fuel problem solved, capacity will now be 26 litres all up. :woohoo:
Camerons corner here we come.

If I had a big bike I would be pissed off I suppose
