Bugger, the pivot pegs on my old ktm 450 won’t fit on my new 08 KTM 690 Enduro, so you had better put me down on the list for a new set.
FOR SALE – as new pivot pegs to suit KTM EXC’s – about six rides old. Still look like new.Mick
Lotsa may be another add to the list after he picks up his new bike this weekend.
Happy birthday mate, dont party tooo hard.
Mick
Good one Kat, sounds like you’re getting plenty of practice for the BIG ride.

Some photos from our day out follow. Can’t really add much to what Gav said but next time we will leave earlier and do most of the ride on the dirt and not spend 2 hours riding on the tar in the dark to get home. Bit of a worry travelling in that area on dusk with all the skippies around. The dead smells as you rode along indicated the ones that strayed too far onto the road. We followed a Landcruiser into broke to let him clear the road for us.

My 08 450EXC has a fair amount of clutch drag – which was a big change to my 04 450. Have tried different gearbox oils as against the engine oil (even tried ATF for a short time with limited improvement). :silly:
I have had a small reduction in drag by using lighter weight oil in the gearbox 5-30/40W. I have got used to selecting neutral before starting the bike when the battery is a bit tired as the small capacity battery is lacking for these later model higher compression motors.Mick

Dont laugh, some of the big BMW road bikes have electronic cruise control (not just a throttle friction control) just like a car???

Looks good TB
I was eyeing it off at Wyong the week before the Sofala weekend – looked real neat.Just wonder why they fitted a tow hook to the front of them????

Sorry TB, a bit far to drive. I’m not that keen.
I’ll give Lotsa a call. He offered to bring around a six pack for me last time he wanted a tyre changed :woohoo:
Mick
Got my tyre changer this morning and it all bolted together OK.
Just leave the bolts loose till you get them in place then tighten em up.
Just looking for a tyre that needs changing so I can try it out. :silly:Mick
