hi all . can anyone help with info on big bore kits for 07 exc 450 . like the power but would like a bit more cheers.

Hi, the 525 barrel and piston fits straight on. The motors are the same stroke and carby, head, bottomends and gearbox the same as well. Lotsa’s 03 450 shit itself so he just bought the 525 parts (barrel, piston and rings) rather than the 450 parts. His bike has done big K’s and the motor is still powering. Motors were basically the same through to 07 model. If you need details I’m sure Mal at Suttos will be able to help you.

    Regards, Mickp

Thanks Menace for organising the weekend and to Jak for being sweep and “official photographer”. A pity he had to leave early on Sat. night.

I was telling my brother about the ride and he said he would go. I think his old bull name is GJP3001. If not put him down as Geoffp.

    Murph,
Gotta keep the missus happy and I’ve sold my GS1150 which is being picked up on Sat. morning. Lotsa and I are heading to Hampton pub late Sat. to attend the Hampton ride on Sunday. Should be a good ride. Will catch up again soon.

I bought a pair of Scott goggles from Southlakes M/C and the foam started coming away so I took them back and they just replaced them – no problem for them. The replacement goggles I am still using without a prob. – just replace the lenses when they are too scratched.

    Hi Fossil,
    Bike_003.jpg
my 08 450 has about an 8mm gap to the header and not appear heat damaged at all. I know a few guys with 08/09’s and I have not heard of a problem.

I think long rolls with snags are the go DrD. Onions and bbq/tomato sauce should cover it. If you want get flashy a large tub of coldslaw or pasta salad would go down well.

It all sounds good. A bit of a mix of drinks stated should keep everyone happy.
