Oh no I’ve had my head turned again, OK I’ll say it I’m a Bultaco Tragic ๐
I couldn’t resist.
take a look!
Awesome.
Just bought this, For those uneducated heathens, it’s a 1978 Bultaco Model 215, MK11 370 Frontera.
I had a 360 version of this in 76, very fast, great handleing for it’s time.
:cheer:They were a weapon in their day.
A mate had a Frontera 250 that I rode a few times and the handling was great compared to the Yamahas I was riding at the time. The brakes were shite but with the great handling you didn’t worry too much about the brakes :laugh:Mickp
Hi Maso
I would prefer the bigger loop as its a long way to come for 1/2 a ride.
Providing you think its doable in the time and the groups not too big it should be OK.
There’s plenty of time for drinkin at the end of the day :woohoo:
If you have the route on a GPS file you could send us the route before hand to load on our GPS’s or are we just doing the cornerman system?Mickp
Great videos TB
You seem to have it well sortedEdog will be asking for “tips” soon
Congrats

micknmeld wrote:This is a trick that TB showed me years ago and I have used it ever since. To do a reverse bleed is a much easier method.
The syringe needs to be full of brake fluid at this stage. You then force the brake fluid into the caliper with the syringe via the bleed screw, it is always a good idea to have a piece of rag wrapped around the reservoir to catch any over flowing fluid. By doing the bleed this way it forces the air in the system to take itโs natural coarse upwards and out of the top of the reservoir.

Yes, as you say it makes life easy to bleed the brakes. I also use a second syringe to suck the fluid from the reservoir to help prevent the brake fluid spillage.
Its an easy way to bleed the brakes or flush out the old fluids with new brake fluid.Mickp
jimmy wrote:This method works well. Have to do my Berg as the front brakes have gone west after sitting for so long. Why do Brembo brakes loose pressure/get air in them when left sitting? How do you prevent it?I used to get that with my 450EXC when it hadn’t been used for a while and found a quick fix was to get a screwdriver onto the brake pads and pry them off the disc pushing the pistons back into the calliper. Then just pump the brake lever to push the pistons/pads back into position and the problem is solved (usually).
I think they get an air bubble in the brake fluid reservoir piston somehow. Try the “fix” next time and see how it goes.Mickp

Guys you can add my name to the list for the Adventure ride.
I was speaking to Boulder yesterday and he said he may be interested if he doesn’t get the DRZ back on the road by then.
Mick
Yes, it was a great weekend with perfect weather.
It was good to catch up again with a lot of old faces and make new aquaintances.
TK is sadly missed by many and it just reinforces the fact you need to get out and enjoy yourself while you are still able. You never know whats around the cornerI saw TB eyeing off these handguards, he might have some fitted to the Ten soon as he misses his poka dot jersey
