I was wondering if anyone would notice the tyre scrub under the guard. That section of trail was top gear with big water bars and I was hanging on for my life. That Beta 300 hundy of Lee’s was getting its neck wringed!!
STM
Yeah I meant to comment on that last night, wicked shot Scotty
very creative

It all depends where on the tank you are looking at , they can vary from 10 to 25 mm at some points due to the rotamould process, generally it’s the top that ends up being thinner and the bottom is thicker because that’s where all the pressure is.
Hope that helpsfrom what I’ve been told (haven’t purchased rotopax yet), they are around 2.5/3.00 around the neck.
surely there not that 10. to 25. mm around the bottom, would make fitting the insert a breeze, as I need a minimum of 3.mm for it to work.My apologies Mudrat, I thought you were talking about poly water tanks
Better leave the beer alone :whistle:You might be in luck mudrat  but it might not help

Hope that helpsThe big ride this year took us from kenilworth over to Imbil and back to kenilworth covering 120ks.
With the days temperature rising to 33c  it was going to be a big days riding , with only 8ks covered we hit the first hill of the day which caught a few guys out including lee  .
We got going again and covered 25ks of flowing fast tracks without too many problems and by the time we got to the next challenging hill ,everyone got up without a drama although moto did have a close moment  .
We headed over to a peach section of singles that we did last year and after doing it with the cornerman,we all did it again flat out!! being the lead I didn’t see anyone until I over ran a corner and Lee flew up the inside and in the blink of an eye he was gone :woohoo:didn’t even know he was there :S shit he’s quick  the next section was a rocky creek bed which I found 2 weeks ago and was awesome, enjoyed by alleven after I stalled on the side of the creek bank and fell into the water it was still awesome
This led us into some singles and then over to a massive downhill section which generally lead to a massive uphill, I thought this might cause a few problems but apparently it didnt
Lunch was next and much needed after covering 72ks
On the way back I tried to find some less dusty ground but with lots of dozer work going on and meeting up with a group of 230 4x 4s in the forest it wasn’t easy.
We finally got to some nice tracks which took us home :cheer:
Thanks for the weekend guys was very enjoyablebring on the vids boys :woohoo:
Definately Noosa for me
Riding with Stm,Spud,Nato,Lee and Smally along with the “locals” Tom Damo and Moto was great,
Great blokes, great ridingNato wrote:Im going to do up a highlight video that goes for a fair while maybe 7 minutes. Can’t wait NATO
Just another different coloured ktm
So another years ride done and hopefully it was enjoyed by everyone
With the crew arriving at the campsite by midday it wasn’t long before we were gearing up and heading out for a few hourswith dry and dusty conditions (like the rest of Australia!!) I tried to find a few non dusty tracks but they were hard to find  we got into some singles which led us to the first hill  we ended up spending about 45mins on this hill as the numbers at the top slowly grew as did the heckling as riders madetheir attempts
From here we did a selection of stuff with some really nice singles and a loop round past the mx track and a climb up the hill by the side which everyone made without a problem  this is by no means an easy hill so
After covering 50ks we made our way back to the campsite for a few beers :sick:Sunday report to come

All going to plan me and Lee Palmer will be pulling into Kenilworth at midday on Saturday. He has decided to bring up a new Bata 300 2T. Last time I rode with him he was on a 125 so this will be interesting.STM
