That brings back memories of my trials riding days :woohoo: big lumps of rock to play on :woohoo: :woohoo:
Keen to get down there
moto wrote:I did think about powder coating but will likely just paint it myself after I get it blasted. If your going to the effort of getting the frame sandblasted you’ve got to get it stove enamelled Stevo, well worth the money and a far better, long lasting finish
Will look the goods
Got the motor rebuilt the other night ready to put back into the frame , then on thursday I finished early so thought i’d get the engine in the frame ready to put all the other bits back on today(sunday) when Tom came round.
Something had been bugging me about the new shim sizes that I put in thoughso I wanted to check them before we went any further so i took the motor out again
Just as well I did because I’d gone the wrong way with the shim sizes  but once that was all corrected everything else was put back together and it fired up without a drama
So this coming weekend we are out for a run to see how things are with the 480 kit :woohoo:Shit Stevo there’s a lot of work there to make a good ‘un
Hope Tyne ‘s not in a hurry to get back on a bike

I too have been looking for a DT200 for my wife and think I saw this one on flea bay, from the pic things don’t look too bad for the money lets hope thats the case when you pick it up
Keep us posted how you go
axel wrote:It obviously a 4T. What bike is it? Jetting issue or riding it like it’s stolen until it locks up (like any 4T should)? Its my sons wr450, a 2010 model that snapped the chain and mashed up the casing where the clutch arm sits in the case  at one point we thought we were going to have to split the motor and get some new crankcases
but after taking the engine out and showing it to a friend he confidantly said he could repair it
.
3 days later we had it back all fixed up :woohoo: welded with a brass bush turned and fitted.
The bike has done around 5000ks so was due a piston and ring kit but he decided to buy a 480 big bore kit
it arrived yesterday so we fitted it tonight, checked the valves and everything else, got the motor back into the frame so will carry on with it at the weekend
With the untimely meeting that Moto has to attend in Bangkok on the same weekend
there are two spots available if anyone is interested in a long weekend on the Sunny coast??
Tonight i’m going to start rebuilding toms engine as the new barrel has arrived, new piston and rings, check the valve clearances and hopefully have it back together for the weekend.
GREAT vid Scott,I laughed pretty loud as well
something about waqtching crashes eh 😆
Murph seems to of dissapeared
Anyone know where he’s gone?
moto wrote:I’m going to head up on the Thursday and get a decent ride in and chillax on Friday. Looking forward to it!I’ll give you a beep on the way past Scotty
Are we riding on thursday as well
Shit , im going to need a week off to get over the sore ass from 5 days riding :pinch: :pinch:
I think the attraction of the modern day Bergs is the fact that they are different not just a blue Kato like they are pretty much going to be next year
But like Moto said, ktm are’nt stupid only time will tell if they have made the right decision
Have you got a rider list yet Scotty?
How manys coming this year?
Only 15 weeks to go
Got to agree with Scotty, why bother?
