Sunday report
With Moto turning up at 8am we were soon gearing up for day 2, the plan was to re- run the Saturday loop and then head over to kenilworth for lunch
the first hill seemed to cause lots of problems by becoming a lot looser than the day before
With all of the pack except Moto having rode the loop yesterday everyone was flying :woohoo: every time I looked round to drop a corner man there was someone close so the pace was up
Then the hold ups began, Moto having his first ever flat, Tom cracking the flywheel case :pinch: with Nicks plastic metal saving the dayand a few Tumble boss incidents :silly: the time got away so we cruised into Imbil for lunch.
A 40k single track fest and an awesome creek bed run finished off the day and we all were starting to taste the beer
Excellent weekend done and dusted with everyone surviving another Sunny Coast cruise
Well done everyonebigger al wrote:NO THATS WHAT IM LOOKING FORWARD TOMe too

Nato loved every minute of the ride and I think as it got harder he loved it more, keeping the Gasser on pipe all weekend sounding very sweet
Big Red did catch him out as well thoughafter advising everyone of the nature of the decent i set off only to be passed by Nato  i thought he was going a bit quick but couldnt stop him, when I got to the bottom he told me how he came down which sounded like a scary scary ride  it takes a bit of doing to end up 25 metres from your bike   but to his credit he did have a go at getting up it afterwards
Corey on his first ride for 3 months cruised around without too many problems as well, enjoying the variety of terrain on offer and at one point commenting that theres nothing flat for too long, it’s either up hills or down hills and big ones at that  I think he will be back
Tom has grown up riding the terrain we have around here and I never not have a go at something because he might not like what he sees, generally what i lead him on he will follow and is one of a small group of riders that i know of that have made it up Big Red
He’s happiest when the Yam’s set on the most aggresive map and the back end is hanging out :cheer: something he and Nato did a bit of this weekend
Massive thanks to the guys who came up for the challenge and conquered itit was a great weekend

Scott has been present for all 4 of my rides, Nick only missed last year due to his horrible ride on mower accident,Nato has done the last two and this year Corey came up to tackle only his 2nd ride this year ,and Tom who has also been present for all 4 rides plus the pre- runs of the loop.
Now considering this ride seems to be gaining a bit of a fearsome reputation ( i will try and continue my report) i want to congratulate all the riders at this years rideScott arrived with a CRF that was only finished being rebuilt at the 11th hour the motor had been ran for 15minutes  and knowing the loop i had planned i was concerned it might not make it
With a 5 minute tarmac ride to the forest then a decieving hill to start Scott got on the throttle and thats the way he rode all weekendattacking everything that came before him
he might not have liked it but that did’nt stop him , good onya mate
That mechanic deserves a pat on the back because that was hard 150k run in period.
Nick looked a bit pensive as we geared up for the saturday loop, but with his still shiny new looking Beta and the massive amount of confidence it has given him he rode everything without too many dramas
until we got to Big Red
Big Red is a nasty, nasty downhill and i did think twice about including it  but i did because this is what riding up here is all about, however when i got half way down i remembered Nick saying to me once that he was”nt keen on big downhills :S :S :S a trip over the bars seemed to shake him a bit but 5 minutes later we came to the hill in the earlier pictures which was later named by the crew as the Bruce Highway because everyone smashed itFaaark
Why are only parts of my post going upFirstly I want to thank the guys who drove up for the ride Stm, Nick,Nato and Corey,
