    its horses for courses,
as mal stated , your super fund ( especially an industry fund) should have a life and total and permanent disabled cover , and you should be able to top up to the level of cover you want. This for me is the most cost effective method. plus it shouldnt matter too much what you do in your spare time for coverage.
Income Protection is a can of worms, as they want to know all about your social activities and work environment. Being in the underground mining game , I found it near impossible to get insurance , but my union services eventually found coverage, but it was dear.
To keep the cost down I have a 3 mth waiting period before they pay, this means I have to use my sickleave or annual leave for the first 3 mths, but it made a big difference in premiums.
Also look at how long they will pay you for, as some will only cover for 5 years. Sop if you end up in a chair or worse, after 5 years the money stops, then what. To combat this i have a socond policy that kicks in after 5 yrs till age 65.

so , look at your super fund, check your union services, but if you self employed , then a broker would be best

Funny story, when I first got married I did the right thing and got an insurance guy out, during the sales pitch he asked all sorts of questions and gave me scores, after telling him i was a coal miner and a scube diver he closed the book and left. too hard.

I USED to give blood regularly, in fact, me and the bride used to make a trip out of it , get a milkshake and come home . Until one day after work I met the bride at the blood bus , I hadnt had enough to eat during the day I suppose , but I`d given blood, had a juice and a biscuit, then when they sat the chair up I went out for the count, felt like seconds but in fact I was in and out for 2-3 minutes, they were on the phone for an ambulance when I came to. made me sit there for half an hour, pumped me full of juice and bisciuts.
2 weeks later I got a letter stating the blood giving wasnt for me anymore , even though i`d given for 10+ years .I got a keyring and a dont come back. Shame really, it was probably a one off , not enough food and big day at work.
moral; make sure you eat before you go and give blood

I`m lucky that we have a waste oil tank at work and that does the trick, but I thought that some servos have oil recycling tanks for public use.
before that I gave it my dad to paint on his railway sleepers in the garden.

I`ve replaced this seal recently due to a piece of stick jamming under the arm. Leak was a weep then got worse so I changed it. Fairly easy, found the hardest bit was getting to the screw that holds the retaining washer. An offset screwdriver will help , you may also find the starter motor will piss you off as it seems to want to get in the way. otherwise its straight forward. No need to touch clutch plates etc.from memory I loosened the starter motor bolts to give some room but I think I got pissed off again when I worked out how to do it without doing this.

    Boony,
my DRZ got a birthday about 2 mths ago, it was due for new chain and sprockets so I went right over it. If your already stripped her down as shown , grease everything, do your head stock bearings too. also to consider- new radiator fluid, new brake fluid, oil your cables-get a cable oiler for about 10 bucks from bike shop, if youve never done this beefore watch all the crap that comes out.
drain the bowl of your carb to get rid of crap thats built up

So come on, hey baby, come on

Come on, let’s cruise, you got nothin’ to lose
So come on, let’s cruise, you got nothin’ to lose
Baby, come on, now get yourself in gear
Still cruisin’ after all of these years

Hey girl, let’s go for a spin
Hop in my hot rod and do it again
You’ve got a greenhouse effect on me
I know a secret spot paradise by the sea
We’ll find a place to park this kinda cool after dark

We’ll take a triop on up to the lake
Down by the river where we can make
Out on the island, pick up on the cape
    Punch up your favourite station

When we go cruisin’, well everything is alright
Come on, let’s cruise, you got nothin’ to lose
Baby, when we go cruisin’, yeah

Baby, put your top down, parade around downtown
People tryin’ to cool down, party all summer long

Come on, let’s cruise, you got nothin’ to lose ….

Everybody got a favourite spot, where they like to come a lot

When we go cruisin’, well everything is alright
Come on, let’s cruise, you got nothin’ to lose
Baby, when we go cruisin’, yeah

People dancin’ in the sand, rock into a reggae band
Lovers walkin’ hand in hand, party all
    summer long

Come on, let’s cruise, you got nothin’ to lose ….
Come on, let’s cruise, you got nothin’ to lose ….

    I can see you
your brown skin shining in the sun,
youve got your hair pulled back
    and those sunglasses on baby
I can say that my love for you will still be strong
after the boys of summer are gone

I had a dream. Crazy dream.
Anything I wanted to know, any place I needed to go

Hear my song. People won’t you listen now? Sing along.
You don’t know what you’re missing now.
Any little song that you know
Everything that’s small has to grow.
    And it has to grow!

    California sunlight, sweet Calcutta rain
Honolulu starbright – the song remains the same.

Sing out Hare Hare, dance the Hoochie Koo.
City lights are oh so bright, as we go sliding… sliding… sliding through.[/quote]

    shes my cherry pie,
cool drink of water sweet surprise
taste so good , make a grown man cry,
    sweet cherry pie!
