    join me up.
have blown out to 105 kegs since being down to about 93 for my 40th in may. putting it down to winter weight.
motivation- being able to wear my favourite retro ford GT tee shirt without the mighty falc looking like a stretch hummer.
strategy- being on a weird roster finds me alone at home some weekdays- usually fart around in shed on put in some quality lounge time- no more- every day where possible an outing involving exercise to be planned.have done this before and works slowly but combined with diet helps. when wife not a work – day trip to walking spots or some thing similar- hardest so far walked from hawkes nest surf club to top of Yacabah headland- the walk back along the sand was a killer.
take a prepared lunch so you dont get tempted to stop a pie shop- see ECK`s list for good pie shops.

wife got Wii FIT for the Wii (obviously) it has some good exercises and wiegh in games . good for us just starting on the path tobecome leaner and meaner.

    patience, dude.
save your pesos, finish time, buy around world ticket, — adventure, jobs, girls will flow. If you want some versatility , do a bar course… there are miles of short term jobs for backpackers, paying cash ..having a ball.like I mentioned prevoiusly, my brother did this for nearly 10 years until he found what he wanted.. actually it found him, right place, right time thing.

sometimes youve just gotta pick up dog turds for a while before you get to own a dog….enough bullshit wisdom .I`m getting another turkey..its friday.. ;) ;)

dont give up an apprenticeship, if you can get it transferred,OK,but dont give it away.
A trade of any kind is a good background. Acouple of young blokes I knew went to indonesia and new guinea AFTER coming out of their time. good dough, but you earn it.How about working for 1month in ,1 month off, plus your required to stay in the work compound whilst there. Also indo is a muslim country- no grog.
my brother worked his way around the world after coming out of his time.was a fitter and turner. now lives in america ,works as a mech engineer for Cummins – marine deisel R&D. so anyhting is possible.

backpacking is a good way to get amonst the girls!!!!!!!!
    lurve our accent.

be careful watch you wish for young Diddel, there are many who would love a mon-fri dayshift only gig.I had a mon-thurs dayshift run for about 2 years, hard to beat.

Where am I ?? I`m enjoying my last day off before lining up for the dogwatch run.. Ahhhh. :(

Ok, murph has a bit of list together already plus I may have 1 or 2 from work ( potential new old bulls– noms )
basically 8.30 am start from here at sunny Arcadia Vale, I will P.M ( private message for newbies) rider list my address on fri or satdy.

ride should finish up about 3pm – depending on carnage, we can always add or drop off loops as required to keep within rough timeframe.about 100-120km ride.
what to bring- some money for refuel and lunch at the gap– excellent works burger.
    – camera if you got one
    – usual spares etc.

it is a grade 3- 4 ride , but we will adjust to suit majority of riders and we always help those in need anyway.

murph, I`m thinking the same ride as sunday with single trail loops thrown in.right hand still tender but have been adding cement to weetbix, so should be right.

    cheers for now,

hand sill aching,I think it must be a srain more than anything.kept annoying all day and was just Pi**ing me off in the end.couldnt get get comfortable or in a rythym.. Anyway enough excuses..

Provided the rain stops tomorrow or next day, tracks in this area are going to be awesome for the next week or so. rain is what we desparately needed.

still keen to head out past the bangalows again.

    twobanger,
loved the rocks, pretty one short section on second loop was part of a rock farm.
the secret was momentum , once you stopped it took a bit to get going.
you may be right aboutcourse being straightforward. number of easy/hard options was cutdown this year too.
postie-bike clown was awesome, no B1&B2 this year but.

my opinion, orange was the majority bike , but they do sponsor the event.

saw quite a few new husabergs… oh yeah I`d like one.

We had a great ride too!
myself, sam (son) and Old Bloke went on saturday(I had to work nightshift so could only get there by sat lunch) and basically setup camp, went thru scutineering and had a look around before settling down to some ales.
first loop was fast paced, but some problems with sams gear selector held us up and let alot of field run past. some bush mechanic work saw us on the trail again. tried all hard sections, only taking the short cut on one hill that had about 50 bikes waiting to get up.
good mix of singles and open stuff.

second loop after lunch had more tight singles and rocks, lots of rocks.once again rode all hard sections including one downhill that was a murph special. steeep and twisting .
sam connected with a rock which saw his gear lever bent back and under, facing the wrong way.alas no spare. he limped back to camp.

usual dopes who think its a race for sheepstations and want to push you off tracks or out of corners. saw one of these types pulling his bike out of a tree moments later  karma.

judging from numbers drawn at prize draw there was about 850-900 entrants. although trails were not overcrowded or chewed out.

we heard of a few injuries including a broken leg.

good job by organisers with some new safety checkpoints during ride being a new innovation after last years search for missing riders.

will go next year if able.
