    The riders

Moto , rode the big Berg faultlessly and was still frothing at the end of the ride as the pic shows :D

My sweaty balls always gets the chicks :D Thanks to Mike for leading and organising the ride, although I only made it Sunday the trails were great, almost all of them I hadn’t ridden before either. It’s embarrasing having an uncle 20 years older than you and hard to keep up with!

It’s was good to see the (very) old faces and get out for a ride with them. We’re all a similar pace so it makes getting through the bush a breeze and we covered some Km’s quite quickly despite me having a flat.

Well done to Scotty for your persistence with the Bruce Highway, I don’t know how you did it. Some wicked TumbleBoss action.

NATO was ripping all day as usual, the vid above captures it nicely. Corey’s impressive dismount off the creek bed rock still sticks in my mind, it was pretty funny!

    Until the next one…….

Another wicked video Scotty, you certainly do seem to have a natural flair for editing and putting together great movie clips.

Hats off to both you and Nate for your efforts :)

Awesome vid Nate, very nicely put together and it captures the action of the weekend quite well! You purposely made your round the corner look longer than mine didn’t you :D

I love Spud’s pose at 2:15, I had to watch it again just to see that :D

It was a good weekend with a good crew to ride with. It was nice to see Scotty, Nato and Spud again and also meet the new faces as well.

The ride both days had a good pace only ally hindered by the dust which was unescapable. Mike did a great job of linking up the trails though and finding more stuff for us all to ride, I don’t think I’ve ridden about 40% of those trails and I’ve been living up here 6 months!

The hills were loose and shaley but we all got up in the end, one way or the other. Next year we’ll have to do a 3 dayer with a Monday ride in as well, not sure if my air filter could take anymore punishment though :D

Thanks to Damo also for sweeping almost all of the 2 days. Not pics or vid from me but I’m looking forward to Nato, Scotty and Spuds efforts when they get the chance.

    Until next time……

I hate to tell you but at ‘this is that hill’ 3 weeks ago a guy that hasn’t ridden in 4 years turned up and rode up on a DRZ :D First time I’ve ridden it too, it does sorta pop up outta nowhere.

The guy in the video is Barry, a decent rider, normally rides a 570 Berg. The other riders in the video look like they need to step it up a bit though :D

Are we doing the newly discovered creek bed tracks Mike? I think it would be rude not to include them in the loop……

Where are we riding and camping Mike? Kenilworth?

We should get some hard hills in there for Scotty and Nick and do a Glasshouse Mountain loop, I’ve got some good hills in there now :D Some of the bests singles I’ve ridden too. Will have to be another year I guess :(

I have been using Kenda Washougals for the last 12 months and like them. They grip well and are predictable and I get them at a good price. I just put a Maxxis on the rear for something different.

I like the Washougals too and run front and rear. I have also just put a Maxxis on the rear and its not bad.’ The MX51’s are a good tyre if you like stiff sidewalls and most of the Michelin range are good too. I prefer the MH3 upfront though.

Pirelli are also good value. I usually change what I buy with what’s on sale or on RMATV.

    No real surprises there

Yes, it was obvious that Stefan Pierer was going to set up his own company, buy Husqvarna, shutdown Husaberg and make red and white KTM’s. How didn’t I see that coming lol?????

I hate Huskies with a passion. Ironic then that one might be my next bike. Will they be premium KTM’s or will Pierer use the Huskys as a test bed for KTM development and market them as the premium brand now. Who knows? Except maybe Eagle…… 😆

Maaaate, how’s it going? Just seen an Ourimbah ride report and it has me missing the trails already! I need to figure out where the fuck I’m going on the QLD front and scope a technical loop out. Been riding more open stuff so it’s time for the 570 to stretch her legs, save me chasing you through the tight singles :D

You need to address this habit your getting into

Hope you heal up quickly ;)

    Adam.

The last time I rode with him he had a high speed getoff into the bush! He was lucky not to be hurt. That was coming back up underlog.

    Transported it to QLD.

Also bought my 3rd sticker kit after 11 months of ownership (only 7 months use)!

Needs a new rear tyre, oil change and filter change and she’ll be good to go.
