Mike – sign up for a photo bucket account. Upload pics to photo bucket by clicking ‘upload’ (lol!) and selecting the destination the pics are stored on your PC or camera memory card if inserted. Photo bucket will upload them, when its done click the blue save and continue button.

To post them here, hover the mouse over the picture until the code is displayed below it, left click on the code that says IMG or forum code and then just just paste it into text box on this site.

It sounds complicated but once you’ve done it its really easy :)

PS – I’m not jealous now I know you’ve got the ugly version hahahaha!!!!! :D

I used to use Auto tranny fluid like Dexron III. And change it every 400km or when I started missing gears if before 400km. Considering the stress ATF is designed for our pussy little bike gearboxes don’t bother it.

As others have said, use what you have, it will be fine.

Friction modifiers can mess with your clutch, it isn’t guaranteed, I’ve used a few with modifiers with no dramas. I’m currently using one in the 570 and its fine. Diesel is good stuff too but the detergents they put in them aren’t really helpful for a gearbox application.

I had a laugh reading your report Razzle, Mick peddles alright for a 72 year old, who would have thought? :D

1.25L is not enough for any ride, I suspect the camelback will be top of your list next time! The power band is fun but if you’re not fit and fresh back to riding that bike has the ability to beat you to death! :D

Glad you had a good time, it’s what it’s all about. I’ll look forward to catching up with you for a ride :)

    2012 WR 450 there I said it.

I’d go along with that, even an older stock model if you get big enough $$$ off. Cheap parts, reliable, good handling and can be had for a good price, there is also heaps of parts for them too.

People take the piss out of the Yaamies weight, and I’m normally first to jump on the bandwagon, fact is though my 570 (although supposedly lighter) feels heavier to pick up and it’s what it feels like on the trail that counts, not what the stats say……..

If your 2 stroke desires are just too strong it would have to be a 300 Gas Gas I reckon. Great bike, infinitely adjustable, low seat height, light, nimble, good suspension, sexy to look at and easy to work on.

2 strokes are shit on the road, I’d be looking at something 4t with 20% road use. If my options were have my penis cut off or buy a Husky it would be a tough call but I’d probably pick the 310.

    Hope this helps :D

    Is yours like this one?

I still need to get that DT175 up to you, I might have some drama’s with Coffs now so LC4Skin or Menace might have to bring it up.

I’ve still got my eye ouit for a 125…….

Those Beta’s look real nice, Sherco are doing a 2 stroke as well so keep an eye out for that. The 2 stroke technology hasn’t really evolved much, if at all, in the last however many years but that’s a testament to how good they were in the first place I reckon.

If a bike company develops a real interesting 2 stroke with the relevant mod cons I could well go back. Gas Gas are probably the most likely company to try something like this. I’ve owned late model big bores in both strokes and they both have advantages and disadvantages.

It doesn’t really matter who was the first 4 banger in racing either, don’t really know why it even gets brought up. It is well known fact that the class rules were changed to allow 4 bangers to compete. LOL at TB demanding proof about people’s opinions, maybe you should provide some proof or written evidence where it states this website is a court of law and people need to submit evidence to placate your opinion during times of disagreement :D Nothing changes…….

So jealous. Good to hear the silver fox has still got some pace, not bad for an old timer :D I’m surprised Damo has let the report get so far without a pic of the six days, we gotta have one. They look sweet………..but I couldn’t own a bike with Germany written on it hahahaha!!

Should be good, I have some more work stuff coming up and haven’t ridden for a few weeks to test the trails and finalise those singles. Darran can lead it if I’m not around and everyone is still keen :-)

It’s a shame to shut the team down, KTM will romp it now. I reckon he should just get someone else to manage the team.

Not good for the sport :-(

Whatever you do without having the right spring weight in there will be a compromise. You can maybe add some oil to help bottoming but adjusting clickers to get round the issue will just make the ride worse elsewhere.

If you can’t afford a spring I’d deal with the odd bottom out until you can get one.

Looks the goods already and it’s only the Friday per-ride! I had a lot of time to think whilst sat on the plane and most of it was spent sulking I wasn’t on the QLD ride :-(
