When getting new tyres next I would go intermediate if the sort of riding your going to do on them is the Watagans.
If you’re doing a trip to Mars with all those extra fuel tanks maybe look at something else
In training for the mystery tour ride already mate!? Fitness is something you’re going to need because you will be picking your bike up and I won’t be helping!
I’ll take one Chris. I broke my last one
August 13, 2012 at 12:32 pm in reply to: Moto’s Magical Mystery Tour – Oct 20th CANCELLED CANCELLED #227387Sounds good guys, I’ll let one of the mods update the list in the first post as I can’t. Chris you can come and camp at my place on Friday of you want, LC most likely is as well.
That pretty much completes the 10 rider limit
We can do a reserve list if needed, plans change and people always pull out. I might pull out yet
He’s on his annual 3 month sabbatical in NW WA finding his soul again and swimming with the sharks
No, really!
Yeah I’m sure I’ll be keen as for a ride at 6pm having just driven 12 hours to get there
3 days riding will be more than enough for me mate!
What??????
August 12, 2012 at 4:58 pm in reply to: Moto’s Magical Mystery Tour – Oct 20th CANCELLED CANCELLED #227330Done mate. Cant edit original post but I’ll do a new list if/when more people sign up.
I’m going to head up on the Thursday and get a decent ride in and chillax on Friday. Looking forward to it!
I’ll give you a beep on the way past Scotty
What time are you starting to ride on the Sat and how long are you riding for on Sun? I’ve even bought a camp chair special for this ride
I’m trying Rickybobby, I really am!
I’m not all that impressed either. It will be a great bike as the KTM500 is, it will be noticably lighter and nimbler than mine too.
It would have been good if they applied the weight saving tactics to the 70 degree motor and it would have been a pearler.
It’s is pointless having two brands selling pretty much the same product, but KTM are anything but stupid and I think they are looking father ahead than this years model range.
Glad I got one of the last yellow framed bent over motor ones now
Nah that’s the easy way, we rode up the rock face to left of that
That said, the rock face in your video doesn’t look as steep as it actually is either.
Well the good news I found the way through the track I was after. The bad news is that going in the direction we rode today you have to ride up a 2.5m near sheer vertical rock face.
We had to have the other two riders ready to catch the bike if it went wrong
To make matters worse there is only about a 1.5m run-up, otherwise it wouldn’t be as bad. Most definitely not for the faint hearted. Then we rode down Whitemans which is substantially easier than riding up it.
We also found some power line track just off Whitemans Ridge Road which had some very large rock ledges in various sections. I can add this little loop in to the ride to ‘spice it up’ a bit
The last time you organised a hills of gold ride you cried off the week of the ride an everyone cam to my house instead
I’ll run another one in the New Year for you mate. We’ll do an Ourimbah loop too, I have the Ourimbah loop sorted now
