I’ll be on Medogsgotarocket’s ride. Well, truth be told, I’ll probably be hungover and asleep for the morning ride. I don’t normally drink, only when LC and Menace force me 😆
LC putting some smack down! How were those right handers Bob?
Is it a case of Galey talking the talk and not walking the walk? :silly: :silly:
EDIT: Chris, you might want to look at the site clock. I posted this at 7:39am on the 22nd not 21:38 on the 21st 😆
Medogrockets ride sounds good thanks Mal.
I ended up with a 120/100 Pirelli MX Extra X I fitted last minute on Sat morning trying to get a ride in. The IRC that arrived from Rocky Mountain was a 130/80, despite my order and the invoice clearly stating it should have been a 130/100.
Normally I would have fitted the IRC anyway but it was too small to be fitted with the mousse. The Pirelli isn’t a great deal better though in the fitting department, still a comparitively small tyre.
As Boony says, it’s black with knobs on it so it will do. I hear Boony has extensive experience with balck knobs as well………
I agree with Dargo Dan. Hard terrain tyres are typically a soft compound with lots of smaller knobs for better surface contact that also flex to grip the surface. Soft terrain tyres have big knobs that are typically a harder compound to dig into the dirt/sand/loam/mud.
Not all tyres follow this rule and there are variances everywhere in between the extremes I mention above. The key is finding a good all rounder that suits you and the terrain you mostly ride.

This is my third 500+cc KTM
Have tried others but keep coming back to IRC’s
You will be happy with your choice, Moto. :woohoo:
God help anybody who gets caught behind you. 👿 👿
Cheers
MurphIt was your love affinity for them that made me try it Murph. Now there will be 2 x 500cc+ big bores with IRC’s on the back. Lookout! Maybe we should get one for Medogrocket too 😆
I would have gone the 140 if it wasn’t too big for the mousse. To be honest though, the 130 doesn’t look all that wide, it just has usual 12″ knobbies you get with an IRC

They are a good thing but hard to find around these here parts!

Have you tried a 90/100×21 before? I had 2 rides on a Bridgy M203 90/100 with a mousse (sized for 80/100) and it felt good.
I have a new one sat in the garage, I’m going to stick it on for this weekend along with a IRC M5B in a 130/100 flavour and mousse for desert. Never tried an IRC before.
Can someone stick me down for Mal or Medogrockets ride please.

Sleeping in close vicinity to an inebriated schizophreniac doesn’t sound all that appealing anyway
I have ripper tent now LC…honest  Using yours is better though, then I don’t have to help set it up, pull it down or clean it
Although we might need to do something about…ahem…you know who. There should be a strict ‘No Berg, No Entry’ policy
I can’t wait to see Bob crash on evry right hand turn again :woohoo:
Trailboss wrote:Camp Mod will be camp 0 or ground zeroTB
Or just ‘camp’?
LC – I have a new tent I’ve never used, want me to bring that? It’s not Blue but we could spray paint a Husaberg sign on it 😆
Just had a call from TB saying I can come play, all good. Please put me down for food.
LC4 – So am I staying in your tent ala Orange or do I have to bring my own. I’m sure the photo of my last ‘luxury’ tent adventure is still on here
I just bought an FMF Powercore 4 (1 down from the 4.1 though I’m waging the difference in perfomance is negligable) for $280 delivered from the States. It’s Stainless and not Titanium but on a bike weighing best part of 125Kg’s with a 110Kg rider sat on top I figured the extra 0.5Kg weight saving wasn’t going to turn me pro. The extra strength will be a bonus the first time I throw into some rocks too.
I had a Wings Ti pipe on my old 450 with a carbon end cap, looks pretty but doesn’t take the hits like steel/Ti will. The Akro’s are good pipes but for the money they are hard to justify.
Can you stick me on the reserve list too please
Mike didn’t tell me it’s a grade 5 ride, I might not come now
Should be back and may come up with LC4Skin all being well.
