Both. It depends on which g-string I’m wearing at the time
After our little chat today I thought I’d stop by and have a peek at the Coffs thread, looks like a cracker
I’m at home mate. Where are you? What are you wearing? It had better be those panties I sent you
Happy Birthday moley mole face!
It’s normal. My 08 450, Matt’s 06 450, my cousins 08 530 and my 2010 300 all do it. As Mick said start it in neutral, it will become second nature after a while.
My bikes do start in gear, although every now and again they get ‘temperamental’ due to the lack of capacity from the battery, again as Mick suggested.
I made a special concession for you
I hate KTM too. Lets start a club.
We can have secret meetings and everything
Most other Honda owners are a member of this club:
Their wikipedia page can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku_Klux_Klan
Apparently they don’t like other colours……

Quote:Guys,
Thanks for the help, so what I’ve picked up is the ratio equals rear sprocket / front sprocket.
ie 14/47 = 3.357
14/39 = 2.787
Yep.And if i’m correct the higher the ratio the more grunt/wheel stand capabilities but less top speed
The lower the ratio less grunt but more top speed (longer legs)
Generally, yep.And a smaller front cog increases wear to the front cog. 2 fronts to a rear? Yes, dependent on riding style and sprocket/chain quality.
BUT, I thought I had to change both cogs and chain at the same time?
In an ideal world yes. Practically, no. If you change your front sprocket before it gets too worn (teeth look like a wave shape) you avoid damaging the chain enabling you to run another sprocket with the same chain and rear sprocket.I thought I saw it straight but now I’m confused
It’s okay, it’s very complex. Some people make it that way anyway….I’m only new on the tools.
Better than being a new toolAction
Responses in red.
Just my opinion, I’m probably wrong as I don’t have 30 years experience.
I can carry any bike you like over challenging terrain, I’ll be impressed when I see them riding it as opposed to carrying it.
I’ve seen riders on enduro bikes fail to ride terrain other riders could ride through on an R1, but that doesn’t make the R1 a great offroad bike.
I’ve also seen LC4Skin on this site actually ride his KTM 640 over terrain harder than that. Maybe he should enter Erzberg?

All they did was ride them through water and open trails? Everytime the trail tightened or got hard they fell off or carried the bike up. I’m sure people do ride them hard but that video wasn’t a great example!
Nice bike TB, it looks tidy. I like the color too. Welcome to the Yamaha ownership club
Not posting your location isn’t helping matters. Judging by the people posting it sounds like your Coffs way?
Take it to your bike dealer, they’ll probably do it for you. Mine did my pinkslip every time without any issues and no mirrors, indicators etc. The bigger bike shops in the centre of Coffs will probably be alright. Also, if you ask Fez nicely he may tell you where he got his bike done.
Hell I just got a bike through a Blue slip without any of that.
The bike wasn’t very nice to ride. With the throttle wide open in 2nd gear at 150Km/h the engine was making a very erratic noise.
I don’t think it has a proper rev limiter, I think it must use the valves impacting the cylinder to reduce revs, that’s what it was doing when I rode it anyway

Quote:You hauled arse down Tunnel Ball. You set the mark by getting under the log and away before the rest of us got to the log. I knew you were going to try to pull that one off but I had a good run so I thought it would be close but you did it. Imagine what the footage would have looked like from your helmet that day.
Similar to when Han Solo makes the jump to light speed :laugh:Can’t wait to see you and the family back again. Looks like you have yourself a nice vacation spot.
STM
I did that because 1) It’s an awesome track and it was telling me to go fast and 2)you told me you went out with 2 dudes previously who had gotten off their bikes, under the log and had gone by the time you got to the log so the gauntlet had been laid down
Since I couldn’t leave after getting to the other side of the log (didn’t know which way to go at the fork in the track) I just took my helmet off instead and watched you all bundle round the corner!
Good times…..
On the day after we rode with you Scotty on out most recent Coffs trip me, Mike and Tom hit up the ‘Road Runner’ and I overtook mike on that second creek crossing at the start blasting him with my bow wave, bloody funny!
We also rode ‘Tunnel Ball’ and ‘Joe Blake’ both ways. ‘Tunnel Ball’ is one of my favorite sections of track up your way, as good as the video is it’s not the same as riding it. There are some quick sections in that track considering how narrow it gets, I put some smack down to try and lose Mike and Tom on that section and remember thinking that if I wipeout it’s going to be very bad!!!
I’ll look forward to the day I’m back there riding again
Thanks for the Birthday wishes guys, had a day working in the garage and a few brewskies, now showered up and finishing off with some wine!
Happy Birthday too Dusty
