He was at Kyogle year before last year when young Dean Ferris lapped every other “A” grded rider in a 7by7 set of motos, and honda picked dean up that meeting I believe.
I also think he’s from inland near Vince Strangs country, some real fast lads out there too
there’s alot of talent up this way at the moment. and some real vvankers as well

This is a HUGE HUGE outcome.
Thought we had it with Jeff Liesk all those years ago, but now an Aussie has done it Woohoo.

That was part of my point originally, the more power you have the more stretch you get, now that was my anology with the GSXR11, this bike two years running won Streetbikes northern division horsepower shoot out against all comers was easily 5 hp clear of the next and the torque curve was awesome, yet my chain and sprockets lasted 60k, yet my mates with 750s and yamahas 1000s and zzr11s were flat out getting 30k. I believe there is two keys to it, quality of original equipment and the maintenance including lube schedule.
Torque destroys the sideplates, crud wrecks the rollers and sprockets.BC
Then there is always the “scottoiler” if they’re still around.
the funny things is with the old “primitive” chains and sprockets came a longer life expectancy, now with oil’ringed self lubricated wnder chains, I’m replacing them more often for less riding….makes one wonder.BC

X2 except my fox pants are just about fooked after 7 rides and no washes.
That’s why I keep coming back to my ancient pair, they were made in the day when riding gear was s’posed to be a one-off purchase, I had a pair of “M-Roberts” italian pants before that that lasted near 15 yrs.

Oh certainly Mr TB Sir, to be exact an “X” ring DID 520VM, and after reading tips from another site I tried the new-age “no-lube” approach and got a paultry 25 hours out of a $130 chain. So I went back to lube and have been using the tacky generic types, but still not overly impressed with the amount of wear apparent, but thought to myself “oh well, laddie you ain’t no lightweight and you do like the throttle in harsh conditions so be it”, but hey it was there and I thought “why not” and if it works well I’ll be stoked, if not no harm, but I am defintely a lifelong luber, Grinding paste doesn’t concern me as much as heat and bare metal to metal contact.

I’ve just gone back to using 2T oil as my filter medium, I have been using Motul and it is inconsistant in being consistant, with the 2T I can get an good easy permeation through the whole filter.
everything old maybe new again.
