Not to be a damp rag, but on the chain and lock, see if you can go to a industrial suppliers and buy a length of H/T snig or stainless yachting chain (skipper Aust has it) and a decent padlock, wouldn’t come in much more than the plasticine aldi/bikeshop ones. I have had abike stolen using a “bought setup” and it is a horrible feeling to see your pride and joy gone.
The “krytonite’ brand is way difficult to cut and can be cut with a industrial diamond attachment true, but not many thieves will bother, cause they want quick in and out.The idea is to make it easier to thieve someone elses or not bother in first instance.
A bloke i know just bought the GPS tho’ and reckons the software is phenominal
and BTW Mmm don’t those rubber roadbike boots look so so fetching :silly:Bruce Cee
Excellent “feel” T/B i can dail in exactly as much or as little stopping force as i wanted in todays sloppy clay to dry rocky conditions, I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s brilliant yet, cause overall I still haven’t got the “clamping” force needed for big emergency stops (ask the scrub turkey and the wallaby I had to out manouvre today  )
or for good stoppies on tar, I can get the rear 6′ and hovering, but it fades, this is the calipers issue i believe. But overall it is 200% on the stock yamaha system so far, at least i feel safe with it now and that’s the main thing. Honda have always had good brakes and forks (showa), and this shows in this M/cylinder.Bruce
Sorry DrD, got you confused with Dr Dan off somewhere else  .
Still a bloody good idea
Dan that is a bloody great idea.
I think another one of my mates is interested, and an older bloke i work with who does Adv riding just ordered a set on friday.
Their customer service is top notch as well.
Bruce C
Used them for four hours today, snotty overgrown S/T, mud, cold and then a little bit of summer in the middle
Verdict-BEST GLOVES I”VE EVER OWNED.
Bruce
G’day Crancky, bloody nice to make your virtual aquaintance.

still really having trouble warranting it..keep that top end fresh and it’s on fire, bow has had a couple of rides lately and is amazed at what it is capable of……
he also reckoned it was way too hard chasing it yesterday though the s/t …..with the 125cc bikes because you (in particular bud) are on the pipe so much the thinnish rings wear quickly and the power dropoff happens real quick, we used to run 10-15 hours on a set of rings tops in the first watercoolers.
The V3 gave mine a heaps crisper response down low, Coley hated it, and I went back to boyeson inserts for a while, but am back on the V3s with a fattish needle and neutral timing. Piss easy to do, and you’re welcome to come and see how easy it is bud, get a few needles and low speed (pilot) jets and play, you can also cheat with flost levels a little too, then you can add a3-10mm spacer at the front of the pipe to gain a bit more down low, don’t know if I’m going that far as mine pulled like a train today up to the lookout 3rd/4th gear off pipe.
have you looked in the Boyeson reed cages, cause to be honest I think the V3s make mine a little flat up high.BTW you blokes did a great job clearing, could see where a few bikes had been recently and was still skatey with the 952 in parts.

Is it the case bolts or Engine mounts as my 05 300 KTM use to leak coolant if the front engine mount bolt was looseCheers
Dr DYeah I know I’m not the only one, but it truly looks like my case bond has let go, which means in the very near future i predict a case splitting …Great fun cause bottom ends only 40 hours old, TB I know I’m in good company at least.
Dr D. good idea, but I’m fairly sure it’s not to do with engine mounts as it is a good 5″ off the next one, but I have seen that before as well…maybe you never know may be worth a try anyway.Bikes loaded now, just gotta get some food togther so I’m goonnee and it only leaks when the clutch/gears are spinning so essentially it’s a splash leak, but still a placefor oil to escape and water to enter, hope craigaroony doesn’t go for one of his “hey Woose it’s only 4′ deep over here!” tracks.
Bruce
Hope he’s gunna pull through 160′ is a long way down.
All the best for him and his loved ones.

Ok fellas I’m calling off the hounds, a riding mate with a WR450 has put me onto a specialist supplier in Brisbane (fellow motorcyclist) who can do complete kits 4x bearing, 4 x outer seals for $40 which lets just say is around 25% of what my friendly local yamaha money printer wants for them.
Thanks again you old wise blokes
BruceThanks Fellas but my Local bearing shops can’t help with these ones as they are unusal sizes unlike most other bikes which use standard sizings, the front ones are availiable, but the rear ones are very specialised.
I’ve usuall got all my wheel bearings from either work (engineers get them for me, or through the local bearing suppliers, I had a fleeting moment when I thought “hey I might try ceramic balls this time” but seeing as it’s hard enough to get plain 4 pt contact I reckon I’ll have buckleys of ceramic in the right sizing.
Chris that sounds like a plan in the making if you don’t get the Hussie….
BC
I’ve seen them listed on some USA sites Bear, was a little while ago when a mate of mine had one lined up, WR500 :pinch: big girls with a bad attitude.
The IT495 had a similar pipe didn’t it?

basically any post ’02 CR/CRF caliper, the 250s and 450s shared the brakes, brake line would be a bonus…basically anything is a bonus to improve the brakes.
Bloody heck T/B, next time I won’t bother scouring ebay etc for months, I’ll just ask you first.
thanks Bud.
Bruce
You’re kidding!! T/B you should open a honda parts business:laugh:
bruce
I know a Bloke who is really quick in knarly less than handle bar width single track, and he rides a YZ125WR, yep you know who you are old fella…
.
and he smokes like a chimney and doesn’t mind a 6 pack or two, so it ain’t all fitness.
