You make it sound so appealing Robo, I’d go but for two things…. going to Tabulam/ Clarence river for 3 days camping, fishing, riding etc, and I’ve still got that piece of crap 952 on the rear.

G’day Scott nice to meet you, that bloody BMX is a dangerous sport I tells ya, that’s what did ya bones in.

Both my Kids did BMX in a semi-serious way, daughter still does club days occassionally, dangerous dangerous pastime.

When i was a kid I had two IT175s for the farm and a YZ80 and an RM80 for the racing, had to earn every cent to buy and maintain them, and when my brothers started flogging them to death when theirs weren’t going I sold 2 of the yamahas, but every so often i look in the shed and think “WTF How did I get so many bikes cluttering the place up” and come to my senses and flog some off. But you know how it is, someone offers you a deal too good to turn down and it might be a bit of fun to ride for a while and off I go again……….

after the Quad eventuates I’ll be after a ’92 Ducati 900ss in Yellow for a bit of a lark, cause now I’m old I can get a Duke and appreciate it’s “personality”.. or maybe a motard.. or maybe a monster… or maybe an TLR1000… or

Actually menace got a shock with that one was just gunna order XL cause i’ve always had size 11-12 hands, but I was always a bush/mill worker up till 12 years ago and the Mrs said “your hands are not as big as they used to be ever since you became a girly management type” so i measured them and she was right upper threshold of “L” and if you know your gloves too big= chaffing.

their site has excellent instructions on measurements.

A mate of mine got buried 13 years ago with my fur lined Rivet all weather gauntlets on, he was wearing them when he died, so his family had them put back on…… best gloves I ever had too.

followed them thru to ebay under a search for Bullpitt gloves, got the blue kevlar ones.

figure it is introductory pricing to get a foot hold in the market.

In a bid to support a fledgling Aussie manufacturer and company (plus the price was exactomundo right) and willing to see if their claims are ture, plus I liked the name I ordered a set of these this arvo.

stock standard mate, i was contemplating a new one, shorty or powercore, but was told there is no shorty for my bike and the powercore wouldnt make any difference except for its note, without getting a new expansion chamber…..

    so i left it alone.

what is your take on this guru blue??

note- your answer must not include the term PDS:laugh:

I haven’t seen a modern 2T that doesn’t get a better response froma shorter well made silencer, I’d go for an FMF Powercore II or R304 procircuit, made a huge Difference to my 300 and my YZ loves Short silencers, the big doglegs are topend type silencers.
Check out the sections on KTMtalk or TT, as the expansion chamber is only one part of the equation.

yeh his motorcycle was very impressive in the power department, had no problem picking the wheel up in the taller gears, however I didnt think it was suited to the really tight first and second gear stuff nundle has, defently tourquey 4 stroke trails.

    Nice report Boonmonster…

Your mates KTM It’s a 300?? and it doesn’t have TORQUE right off the bottom?? something wrong there, cause the 300 is a slow revvin’ torque monster as a rule, with oodles of low-end luggability.

I hate that special brand of yellow slimy clay that has a thin layer of grease then hardpack sliminess underneath so when you’re doing 40 in top on a smoker and back off the throttle a little it compression locks and there’s not a goddamn thing you can do to stay on the bike for longer than 20 seconds at a time, and gentle throttle openings in top at idle produce instant pipe and spin, then you fall off as the wheels go two different directions while you’re on a staright bit and then you can’t get the bike up cause your boots slide everywhere, and cornering means finding a solid anything to bounce off… that stuff Sh!ts me to tears, ’bout the only time i’ll pack up and go somewhere else.

It’s everywhere in the border ranges, some laugh and crash, then cry and crash, Me i just look for traction where I can.

Still a good report Mr Boon.
