I would very much doubt that a manufacturer such as KTm would make a “one bottom end fits all” setup as husqvarna did this and revolving mass kills the power and response on the smaller revvy motors, I would believe some of the cases are interchangeable, but there is very little market benefit to be gained from this style of engineering, as you can save weight by design to brief or end use. Otherwise a KTM 250excf would weight almost as much as the 450, no advantage there.
BTW Moto somewhere in that argument you sounded Austistic, by being literal, both are acceptable reference terms of displacement, bloody anorak

Call me paranoid, but after having my XT200 stolen when i was 16 and 9 months and then having to continue paying for it for 2 years after (HP) has made me very wary of lowlifes out there.
Consequently I have
Locked shed within my shed complex.
Locked steel gate at sheds
Sheds are walk oyut of back door down patio ramp straight into shed, essentially attached to house
Locked front steel gate
6′ foot iron fences all round and nosey neighbours all with multiple dogs
live in a cul de sac near the far end, and all our neighbours bar one love us.
Two large well trained dogs, (one male is food trained as well, used to be three but my old boys’ life ended last august, but he passed on some of his knowledge to his grandson) and one little suspicious yapper that constantly patrols.
Floor mounted lock system with kyptonite wire, good quality locked and HT chain running to all bikes, secondary chains and krytonite wires to shed frame.
All cutting tools locked in cabinet in other shed.
And I just acquired a good sensor alarm system designed specifically for sheds, will fit this weekend.I know determined thieves may still get them, but around the corner is 50Ks worth of bikes in a plain steel shed with one german shephard guarding, figure they’d go there first.

I think my Bunnings electrical tape must be inferior to the southern stuff Ecks, as i did just that and 10 minutes into the last ride “hello” twin throttles, and my daughters hairspray must be eco-friemdly as for the first time that’s not working either???

My goggles have taken some BIG hits. That said, if you can’t see out of them and can’t ride they are uselessThree words Moto- Nose protector insert.
and you can get some fairly big clear safety glasses too, I have a few sets (courtesy of reps:P ) that will do the trick well, and being high impact lexcen and the likes won’t shatter or alllow anything into your eyes.

I always thought the worlds fastest indian woulda been the one being chased by the calvalry, or the the one that just had Jihad called down on him.

Quote:Trent, I have plenty of garage space (free double garage) if you want to come and do it at my place. I am only an hour up the road from you and can help out if needs be. You can leave the bike as long as you want and it can be locked to my bike for security.Just an offer if it helps, it’s no worries
I’ve got a KTM doing time ATM chained to the blue wonderbike, I’m getting a bit worried that it might pass some icky Austrian mechanical disease to her though, like “pogostick” rear or “I’m don’t wanna go round this corner today” steering.

I’ve currently got Oakley crowbars, Oakleys “O” frames and Thor Allys, all great googles in the dry or mild cool weather. But because I only have one functioning eye (YEAH, YEAH so I am one eyed literally and figuratively as well) I must have good clear vision, but in damp or cold clear good quality saftey specs can’t be beat, have never found a google that doesn’t fog to some degree or another, double lense is not new, been around for years now in one form or another, unfortunately when moisture gets between the layers you may as well pack up and go home.
Just my experience maybe there is a new improved double lense, and Scott used to make a great google, but fell down for a while, but maybe have picked up again, so why not now.

I’ll second what Tb said, bearing metal seems to rust in no time flat.

Not bad Mick, but I doubt it’ll be acceptable, however I just asked the boss how I put that down on my time sheet. And do you have any why school functions are repeatedely forgotten? childrens dentist appointments are a mere afterthought? and why I need to go riding more often?
Moto you’ll eventually need some new ones, get in and pick the best while on offer I say.

BTW $1500 for an ’04 RM85 is a steal round here, was it any good?
We used to have over 40’s here a few years back in AMCROSS, but some of them were getting way serious and were actually in the hunt in “A” grade, so they dropped it for a bit and had to race “allpowers” I think, but a little birdy told me it’s back as a class, so I’d be safe to venture back again without the 19 yr olds belting my butt all over the track.
