Hey Blue450,
KTMrat is right the Dianese is the best gear fullstop, but I went for Troy Lee although a bit more than the “middle of the road” has slightly better build quality and fitment, than them. I bought mine online from the states, after trying one at a MTB shop down south, I paid US$180 when the exchange dollar was a bit better.BC
Yeah seen the split tongues before it’s usually a birth defect that can get easily fixed at 3-12 months of age but they’re different mouths, look at the teeth, lips and tongue.
1965 was very popular year for Australians to have amazingly well developed and bright offspring, with a much lower birth mortality rate we were the first of our kind (Generation X) and set the physical and cerebral standards that remain in place today, we were stronger faster and brighter than any generation before by leaps and bounds.
We grew up on the first purpose built off-road motorcycles and the uprising of the Japanese juggernaut in motorcycling. Our heroes were Stephen Gall, Malcolm Smith, Kenny Roberts, and the legion of yanks that dominated MX from ’79 on. Some of our Ilk include Michael Doohan, Jeff liesk, Craig Dack but to name a few Aussies of my generation.
Generation X is the generation charged with rebuilding the infrastructure laid down in the post war era by our Grandparents, and monopolised and exploited, then wasted by the baby boomers, our parents, we are the first in many fields to break traditions such as the distinction betwixt sexs in the workplace, we don’t raise an iota of interest about racial difference we mostly accept them, we are the pre-dominant group of off-road riders ATM with no plans of growing up while our still self-absorbed parent generation runs around destroying the silence and wonder of Australia in their vast motorhomes, campervans, and caravans towed by ostentatious 4wds.BC
For we are Generation X, and for the moment we control your future Ys and whatevers.
Photoshop, tongue is too wide otherwise.

*option 2- keep your race replica/inspirsed motorcycle that is light, handles well, has nice suspesion and good power for its class and while you have it apart, drill, tap and fit grease nipples into the outer parts, being carefull to not induce any bind or nip points.
Boony you a funny man, and sorta a little bit sad too:P

I too shall apologise to Novice for Hi-jacking his thread, but whatchya gunna do, it’s how we roll.
Get a workshop manual, a set of gauges, invite a mechanically minded mate around, and violia valve clearances done, unless you need a shim set, in which case, have your mate visit you twice, first time to measure clearance a carton will do, secondly to install said shims after you have ordered them, BBQ and carton should do the trick.
Yes I have been discovered like a seppomenace even by oh mighty Mick of the church of the XRs’ only…..see I too once secombed to the alure of a lazy 4 stroke, I had a 1994 XR 280 engine nestling in an immaculate 1992 Cr250 chassis with trick suspension and stoppers, unfortunately the whole carburettor thing annoyed me so I sold it unfinished, and went back to my Smokers

I believe that is still forbidden in the bananna bending state, punishable by making you ride a KTM.

I Love those blokes to pieces, I also love the way many of them come back later and try to ride the Private proprty here, leaving gates open and scaring the cattle so next time we’re out the farmers have not got their “loving” attitudes on towards us, many of these things are “hit and run”
Sorry I am selfish when it comes to this, if you’ve stuffed your own riding areas up and haven’t redressed the problems, go to a park and I’ll invite the responsible types to our area and keep them yahooing to a minimum.
I am still smarting about the 100s of riders turning up to a beaut spot that the locals and their mates used responsibly for years, but in the past six-twelve months has become totally inundated by border hoppers as they lost several of their own SE QLD areas, and now it is being patrolled BY NPWS and the police as the accident and anti-social behaviour has made it no-go for us, now we’re looking at losing it too.

They have to an extent so far Ecks, the local governemtn grants for infrastructure and the school rebuilding projects are two that I am aware of.

Congrats Mr ECKs, t’is the meaning of life.
BTW why give HIM karma?, all he did was get jiggy with it, Mrs Ecks is the one left holding the Bub, she’s gunna need all the good Karma she can get.
But seriously good stuff.

I personally like the Northern NSW idea, as I am caught betwixt a rock and a hard place with locations ie: many old bulls are riding 4-5 hours away from I, in the hunter and macleay areas, but I am a hop skip and a bunny hop from the QLDers.
As long as you don’t tell every queenslander and they invade us (too bloody late for some areas here, they get airlifted out regularly at New idiot) you could do a nice sedate little ride in say maybe the “Woodenbong” area.
Not that i personally know of any good areas to ride up there so don’t ask me OK:dry:BC
G’day Trap, Southwest rocks is a beuat place, once had a nasty roadbike accident there and got to know it fairly well, I know you have nice bluegravel in your tar mix saw it up close and personal too.
I’d call that area the MID-NORTH coast, as you blokes are several hundred kays south of the real north coast, but i s’pose everything is relative to the great metropolis of Sydney, being the “centre” of the known universe.

And Moto I believe your “front end grip” is often and more than adequate from all reports…
can’t believe no-one said it before me, Menace you’re slipping
