I agree Adam, brenton has a “stealth” system on his KX for just this reason.
However SOME people I am sure are just on a battle of wills or a power trip and want to enforce their beliefs upon others.

It’s a sad state of affairs when you cannot legitimately ride your bike on your own proerty for other than directly agricultural purposes, and yes this is the law in NSW, you cannot ride legally for recreational purposes on your own land.

Much as I’d love too particpate, and christopher knows I need to fix the forks, but I’m gunna ahve too leave this generous offer alone for two reasons.

Gold coast Holiday that week, and I’m already in trouble with the kids for spending the last three weekends pulling our loungeroom down and rebuilding from daybreak to after dark, and no-one has been anywhere in my blinkered home reno daze. And secondly, I will have definitely spent the bike allowance by then as my barrel has worn plating and the time has come to fix it or there will be no warlock come next autumn.

If I’m lucky maybe i could partake in the next one north of Newcastle later in the year.

Again Nik & TB many apologies.

Sorry my gaunlets are buried with a mate who was wearing them when he highsided into a tree, so it can’t be mine that’s been thrown down………

However I do have a valid reason for ducking and eing quiet, see Our annual toonumbar 2T territory flowing S/T ride is on next weekend, and it’s the last big outing before the warlock gets torn down for a heart enlargement and new hips after christmas.

I noticed the OBT ride posted after i confirmed with our local lads I was a firm starter.

However we will have to organise a Far North Coast/SE qld do next year, I reckon it would only be righteous to do the border ranges, maybe the infamous rainforest area that is the ‘Bong.

Thank you for the thoughts oh virtuous gentleknights, but alas decline I must…

Ok a bit of background info.

Longterm farming & bike riding family, third generation cattle, third generation motorcycle club members, have 40 yr old track with amenities (BBQ, shelter, etc) setup, very sweet.

Next door neighbour subdivides his property into 5-10 acre lots and sells, Brisbane & surrounds professionals & retirees bought and built, TBAG goggled, letterbox dropped the surrounding area, media reports daily swirtching sides, council forced to enact state legislation or cop flogging, farming family retailiates both in kind to weekend worriers & eventually physical confrontations and scuffles, out of local government hands, TBAG squzrks with glee, local riders form action group of their own….

    That’s where it is now.

Some retirees round here complain about the cows and tractors next door, FFS what did they think the country is about, and we have to investigate every complaint.
No fence sitting on the ethics of this one for me, professionally of course, privately will be attending every pro-bike meeting.

Won’t often link the two sites, but the Lads over at the pub have been discussing this for a while, and I was actually involved in the case and overall it is very sad, and not as it initially seems, then got completely out of hand and escalated to physical confrontation, but the upshot is the local area now has a coordinated group of riders pressing forward…

I concur, don’t take any notice of the alignment marks on the adjusters, as long as your chain is eyeballed as straight onto both of the sprockets all will be as it should be.

STM, I know that hill, I have had to walk up it several times, I’m actually surprised it’s still there and not completely washed away…….

Remember someone (Dougie I think) had to push it in with the dozer in the first place……..

Last year at the challenge, three of the Border boys conquered it, one of them on a DRZ300???

Yet we have thids little nasty hill called (H for hell, or V for V@gena, depends on the mood) here on the “G-Spot” trail that only one has ever got up, and he’s not one of those three.

Might post a pic later of it.

    Depending on funds availiability
(post Xmas at my place is usually not a glorious rolling in dough type time, although having said that Mrs Cee is working Xmas day, Boxing day and Newyears so she will be flush with casharoony, now a cunning plan is needed to relieve her of said funds….Mmmm)

    Possible/likely booking in two bikes-

2003 YZ250WR with previous work dones by a QLder, but is still harsh in the front, so needs work.

and a post 2003 KX/RM65 (adjustable suspension post ’03 models see & haven’t bought one yet, but need to very soon I tells ya) for 9 yr old 45 kilo demon.

I concur with TB & Twobanger, something else is going on here, fingers or warped plates?

What’s the “speed” bit refer to Boony?

Oh bit of confusion in my brain now, cause S/T and single line mean the same to me, there is no way to take another line.. ie; too dense bush or trees. Just grass and stuff can be ridden over (despite the fact logs and the like hide in it) and turned into twintrail.

If you can get a 4wd down it, to me it doesn’t qualify as S/T or S/L

Don’t believe anyone who says “it’s a KTM thing they all do it” cause that’s poppycock, Bled and adjsted proerly with good plates and basket they are one of the best systems around.

A sign that you’ve not got it right yet is trying to get neutral while engine running.
