it’s all downhill from hereMick brought this up so I’ll elaborate
You know what this site may not be a post a minute or full to the brim with members from the big smokes but it is friendlier than others and is full of real Bloke(tte)s who will pull the piss, laugh and joke and help one another out, not attack a decent Bloke in a personal and base attempt to deride his life and choices. And as my sig often states it is impossible to deal with stupid people who demean others well put argument or reply, they will make certain it will be ignored, look what they do to hairyone(a genius who works in constrution, your classic blue collar philospher) over there a self taught philospher whose smarts are outa most peoples understanding and in a different league so when they don’t understand what he has proven they deride and belittle, ph@rkin moronic vvankers will do that everytime.Blokes and Blokettes being dinkum, it’s much more honest and refreshing than one upmanship “look at me with the latest and blinged but I still can’t ride outa sight but I’ll tell you how fast I am” types.
I went riding yesterday for the first time in 6 weeks, imagine how tightly wound I’d be if I hadn’t eh?

Still rate the RM125D as th one, and funnily enough most yamahas I’ve ever owned have not been reliable except the current one and a couple of roadies.

Vale JoeyIt should be taught in engineering that once YOU have designed and had something manufactured, YOU become the first operator, suddenly things would be better. Imagine if TMs engineers had to try and ride their 300 ENs suddenly a whole new engine would be on the boards, imagine if hondas engineers had to pay for valves, suddenly valve longevity would be paramount, and imagine if KTM engineers had to ride their product over sharp midsized obstacles, what would they do I wonder?

Young starry eyed one,
I must educate,
there is a bit more to this
than just loving your mate,
you must I implore
to see life from my hell
for as well as a a spouse
I have a girlfriend as well!My dogs have 4 sticking up ears, weigh around 80 kgs agregate, wag three fluffy tails, run on 12 sturdy legs, have 2 sets of scary chompers, and two decent sets of nuts, but the cat is weirder, cause they are all poopy scared of her and she has nothing but pointy little ears and some claws.

somethings gotta give hereEveryone that knows me knows that I hold KTMs mid to high-speed steering, rear wheel bias (understeering issues) and rear suspension in absolute disdain, however really do they manufacture a beautifully finished bike with top notch ancilaries and bullet proof engines, excellent in most arenas (most of the time) and while i owned one I too was defensive of the shortcomings, but a short stint on it’s japanese and Swedish (formerly) equivalents and the shortcomings became of epic porportions to I.
One thing I will say is like harley and triumph riders those owning a kTM do have a passion for their brand that causes a bit of bias, but we all suffer this from time to time.
The reality is ride a well set up KTM and yes it will handle as well as a stock Linkage, but ride a well setup linkaged bike and night becomes day, just depends if you are willing to trade the engine and ergos of the KTM for (sometimes) a little less quality. For me it’s about being in the saddle how the bike works as an extension of me, the EXc and I fought for a year or more with each other (on tally of injuries sustained it won), but one sit back on a MXer and I was home.
KTM are a great brand, but not the greatest, just different in focusBC
A Rider who would show his Spouse
Our tomes of hilarity
Is indeed but a mouse,
But look to the side that is lighter than light,
For his future
is bleak not at all bright. For this man who is indeed a doormat
will grow weary of bikes
as his size becomes fat,
for this is what happen to a downtrodden male
whose existing is subserviant,
appeasing his female.Ah Glasshopper we see things the same through different glasses, of course as you say makes good business sense, will never refute that, but this does not necessarily led to a better product.
and if we all rode the same bikes it would be boring, like harley riders who’ve never rode a jappa.

Good morning Michael, Mick did you ever notice that Husqvarna that was a very resource poor manufacturer without a huge budget has also dominated the enduro world for long periods? in a very tasteful colour scheme with functionality and a humble attitude that their austrian conterparts could take stock of.
Yamaha has also made quite a dent despite not actually having dedicated enduro models for a decade, must have meant their MXers were something out a very specail box.
But one has to give it to KTM they can afford to hire riders that have outstanding abilities and can ride around any problems inherent in any design, and to support this all it takes is add another couple of hundred dollars to the price of each bike, and as welle because the top riders only use genuine “hardparts” the overblown racing budget can be supported by the many merinos who utilise these “top value hardparts”, cause the top lads do. Fairly simple equation that is tried and true, throw a lot of money into the high exposure areas of your niche’ market, then on monday morning as aresult your product rolls out the door in droves, sorta like Harleys really.
Just a theory of mine, cause you know the Sum of the parts must be lesser the the whole.

This is just another story of Predetermined Destiny Syndrome that has it’s origins in a boiling caldron in a dark basement in Austria, thankfully the untested cauldron contents could only cast it’s evil spell upon the orange clothed.
I feel for you Mr Menace for I too have had a bruised Toxic Bone as a result of the Austrian warlocks half arsed attempts at witchcraft, which left me feeling BLUE luckily with time and new glasses eventually you too will feel this way, for after the pain has left your Toxic bone the Blue feelings will set in.
Good yarn though Senor Menace
