Will Rec Rego allow me to ride on the road as well as bush? Will Rec Rego allow me to ride in Victoria Queensland or SA?

No but if you don’t want it, just go full rego which is for normal road users

I looked into it as well Tb and my conclusion is
    make rec rego
    working headlight tailight
Bike to be inspected each yr
    Fully licenced riders only
not a nominal charge but a percentage of full road charge say 50%

these above measures should keep the “craqckheads” away, they won’t bother on their pitties and old Mxers, too much hassle and expense. Only the legit and genuine will bother.

Mrs Cee didn’t raise no fools, think of the ripples and counter ripples always.

But also why discard the idea or the opportunity for genuine users who prefer to use converted MX bikes (like myself) over the softer and homogenised enduro offerings, because of the potential actions of a few losers

It has been discovered by the motorcycle council, that the information presented to the MAA by the insurance lobby consortium to justify and approve this new group sysyems was in fact the wrong data.

it would appear that the data was “wrongly” collated and seemed to infer that 250-300cc riders were responsible for more claims against them than any other group. Now remember 3rd party is about the third party not about the rider, how many 250cc pilots carry pillions, or caus emajor damage to third party persons?

This is the bit that is wrong, yes some of us have had a price decrease, however you blokes are doing exactly as twas hoped for, divide and conquer. Now how long before the say 350cc and above get a new classification and the rest of us say, “doesn’t affect me so I’m not concerned”.

Yesterday through the submissions page for upper house committees I put a formal submission in as suggested by the NSW Motorcycle council. I for one am aghast that mine has been raised by 107%, and it gets better, on another forum a 450 rider said he got his renewal 2 months early from the insurer, his rego was due mid-august, they sent him the renewal slip late june with the old high price on it, first time they’ve ever sent him one that early…. gee wonder what they are up to?

It’s wrong, it’s farcial, and it’s a blatant money grab by the MAA & their mates the CTP insurers.

having been involved in fund raisig and track build for such things, Michael is right as a recognised track is a little more than a few mounds of dirt pushed up by some bloke with a david brown and a Bucket.

They are designed from the subsoil up.

I actually reckon Tekniks could turn this into a positive if there is going to be a big club day, all those potential customers in one place, surely a few stickers and a bit of advice to Mums & Dads would engender a little loyalty in return….

The name of the game, turning a challenge into opportunity.

I also recommend Garmin again I have one of these

    https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=145&pID=30925

and while not quite all singing all dancing, it has swallowed all the maps I can gather from this corner of the globe and still wants more, is easy to use, good visuals and touch screen.

And once i learn how to use it to it’s potential me & it will be inseperable.

Carmichael was a talented, possessed rider, the MX equivalent of Michael Doohan, Bubba is a freak rider who has been a freak rider since early childhood (seen video of him beating other 9 yr olds on Rm/Cr80s etc and he was on a Z50. Reedy is hugely talented and personally driven, but has had the unfortunate luck of being of the same era as Bubba and RC, the fact that he could/can mix it with both of these two puts him on another level to anyone else in the sport today, villapoto and Dungey included.
Would be one hell of a start line with Rc, Bubba, Chad, Jeremy, & Stefan, in it I for one would reckon this woulda been clash of the modern era titans.

But fact is he was slightly behind those two greats of the sport, wether it was talent (i for one don’t reckon so) or the fact that they had greater exposure to the pure speed and opportunity in the USA since dot.

if it was the 465, I’d be paying you a visit this weekend.

It’s a precursor to several types of cancer including rampant (hairy) lukemia, most people who get the virus suppress it without even being aware they have got it, some highly unlucky individuals get the full-blown version.

It IS a really bad bit of gear.

    Adding to data
a 6mm channel can be cut in the rear lower portion of the barrel to equalise flow through the side transfer ports, this enhances lower midrange and low end response without any detriment to topend power.

    At close to sea level
The needle should be dropped at least 1 clip position
exchange the pilot for one or two sizes smaller
a better fuel filter should be installed

Clutch perch can be drilled and tapped to put a small adjuster to bring the lever closer to small hands, this can be done using a 4/5mm metric thread and long grubscrew and done corrstly will still allow freeplay while allow younger hands to get the leverage they need.

1990s Cr250 pegs fit the mounts with a little filing of stoppers

KLX110 handlebars are the right height

YZ250/WR type alloy shifters fit and are mush easier for feet in boots to change gears with over the stubby things that are standard.

Hello Andrew, usually they are bike specific having an advance curve and pulse of it’s very own however being a yamaha (and other japs as well) there is a possibility that it shares a part number like the coils do with the 50 or even the 80 of around that era.
Cross reference the part numbers through one of the online resources and see what you come up with, alternatively if the pulse benerator (at the flywheel) has the right ohms etc you may well be able to use one off another model and just adjust the timing to suit at the plate.
