Musta been a hell of an obstacle to overcome, imagine having to live with that your whole life, you’ve done well young TB, no matter what your birthplace….Seriously though, I found out the missus has taken holidays starting on the 2nd, so as long as the Rego boys accept my new “speedo” come GPS when rego is due in june, We will be making it a bit of a family get away……

Damn you saw through barry’s ramblings, the rest sounds like a plan to me. Need the caliper to stop that cosmic experience stuff from hurting me and a tree again…

Give Barry and Shirley a call and tell them you are an Old Bull.
Other options would swag it at Mooses or My Place.
I might make a family weekend away thing of it Mick, will yell at you for some ideas….

Just for TB, have a look at what Barry Ashenhurst (Dr Dans mate) OF Dirtbike trader said about the model before, and it may make sense why I’ve tried to calm it down a little bit…

I am thinking I may get the old heavy tractor out there and just see how bad my bike is
TB
yep the tractor and the whippersnipper TB, has ring to it doesn’t it?
You know the drill promise nothing so everything seen or recieved is viewed with AWE.
You’d better bloody take it for a ride, I might even advance the timing back up for the occassion…..
As long as there’s no tractor pulling, that’s just wrong

Done a couple in my time, the most memorable was run by the Tweed valley motorsports club (rally blokes) it WASN’T a race… yeah right I was navigator in a full-house CDT gemini with 2 litre rodeo block, twin cam head, twin 44 solex-mikunis, and 4.4 locker diff on konis. there where Gt falcons, Xu-1s, Slr-5000s, a HDT commodore, Mazda R-100s and RX-2s all rally type cars, held on dirt roads threoughout Tweed and Murwillumbah areas, it was ABSOLUTE carnage, authorities banned them from holding anymore after that.
Funny thing is the bloke I was navigating for is now a high ranking Highway Patrol Officer with a rep for booking his own Mum before she passed on(god rest her soul)…….
The local Motorcycle club also run a Vinduro that is somewhat similar to a poker run every year, only race I’ve ever been to where competitors come in and watch the others go round for a while then casually hop back on do a few laps and have another rest… gotta love that style of racing.
The WR200 pipe is a good mod for the ole DT200R.
Good 2400w heat gun will clean the pipe out, just be prepared to take a while to get whole pipe hot on the inside, then WOOSHCA, it will look and sound like an F1-11 with after burners on.
Boll’s I rode with a freak of nature (ex-Kiwi MXer) that blitzed technical S/T on a 1996 KLX650R in as rough a condition as you would find… doesn’t mean it’s the best choice though.
Your DRZ addled logic is flawed, like Boonies, now go and find us some more “barnyard” treats before you are banished to the Suzuki forums……Jeffro wrote:
Quote:What I meant was it would be better (yourself), I certainly don’t want to go backwards. I like riding in the lower rev range, I was on the V-strom on Saturday and I liked the way it was just a flick of the wrist and a little rev to get the back to slide through the corner.
Haha, remember a few weeks back the talk on ADV bikes, what did I recommend?
Go the big Strommies… nic stuff Jeffro what do you think of it?
have you done a report yet?I have a really good mate whom I ride with most times, I’ve known him since he was a tacker amd would never steer him wrong.
Now while he’s been riding most of his life he’s no Stefan M, and he’s the first to admit this, but he is competent and has days when he’s on top of the game and as fast as anyone else. He bought a near new 300EXC a few years back when I had one, recently he’s been harbouring evil thoughts about a new bike, so we went and had a look and he rode a few, his pick of the 4Ts KLX450 by a country mile.
He didn’t end up getting one, because we freshened the Kato up and rejigged the forks and he feel in love with it again, but the fact of the matter was of the 4Ts, he swears the KLX was the nicest alround ride. And he was going to get a great deal off the dealership here….
