Top Buy Moto, I reckon the 300 will suit you down to the ground, and I have it on good authority that while the previous owner may have been a bit of a Spazz of highly questionable tastes, he spared no expense in all aspects of his bike and was reluctant to let it go.

Good stuff, now go and put some miles on it, but just watch out for the PDS, even though the other bloke said there wasn’t an issue he’s a POMMIE twit and i hope you ripped him right off…… :P

I’m a massive rap for the Dunny 952(rear).

That’s good, I’m glad they suit someones bike and terrian, cause I’ll be blunt and state (again) it was the absolute worst tyre I have ever used, ever, it sucked in the mud, it sucked in the sand, it sucked so much on rocks that even the rocks rejected it and made it leave their presence, the only place it didn’t suck majorly was grass and dryish loam, on that it just sucked a nominal vacuum. It’s biggest issue for me was I came right off a predictable reasonably grippy 736R to a 952R and was chalk and cheese, I’ll be blunt the MX-retread with a 736 carcass I’m running ATM is far more predictable, even if it does throw random knobs into the undergrowth, at least when i bought I went in with my eyes wide open expecting little.

I loved dunlops in the 7 series, but the 952 I gave away and will never ever recommend for a hard hitting 2T, and has even made me wary of Dunlop altogether.

    Idiot

    I’m not going to argue the diagnosis Mick, cause i am, but in this case;
Well it’s a refurbished unit, with pretty well only the operating platform installed and a good virus program (sophos) and bugger all else on it’s H/D, so all that was left for me to do was to clean any accumulated dust and crud out of the hardware, with low pressure compressed air.

Seemed to help a little as i did get a heap of cat hair out of it, couldn’t tell if it was from a feral cat though…. :P

I’ve cleaned it out twice with compressed air, I reckon it’s got a graphic issue, but being a laptop (Dell) I know as much about it’s hardware as …….. well not much anyway.

I’ve noted this before, but OBT makes my home laptop run slow and acts like it’s graphics intense, sometimes if I log in on it within minutes it’s got a hot CPU and goes into a safe mode.

Which is more the computers issue, but OBT is the only site that scrambled it like that that I have found.

If the only the travel was that limited/short distance!

Yep no matter what the travel style it gets a bit monotonous after the first few times, and there are only so many Motel ceilings and walls you can stand.

Pubs in small towns are usually good stuff, and if you’re lucky occassionally get a home cooked meal at one of your clients homes goes a long way as well.

Did meet a lot of people and make some good friendships while doing it though.

Are you at the stage where the travel is robbing you of a life yet Greg?

Just that is what I did for firstly State forests NSW, then the Timber industry training council for nigh on ten years, after a few years while i still loved the teaching aspect and the participants, the lack of a homelife damn near ruined me.

I did get lucky for the last 2 years cultivated a strong following on the northcoast and north west so i didn’t get to travel past sydney too much, finish a classroom deal at Tumbarumba 5.00pm, hit home at 6.00am sat morning, leave again Sun nightfor central coast starts to wear thin after a bit.

But it is fun while you’re there.

Maybe what the yanks call “single line” as opposed to single track, single line is overgrown firetrails etc, still mostly smoothish but enclosed and fast, we do have a bit round here more fun than firetrail, and truth be known I do enjoy that particular style of riding, it’s a complex mix of Single trail and faster going.

Ecks bloody hell man you’ve done the wrong thing and should have taken the bike to a bigger specialist or something. You won’t ever be happy with youry decision and I reckon its a dumb thing to support the local bloke.

Now someone got that out of the way.

Good stuff Ecks, there are lots of little players that are just as knowledgeable as nationally recognised names, and to use this resource is not only smart, but efficient.

Although from my limited understanding of modern Forks i do tend to agree with TB (been doing this a lot lately, ..reminder must book myself into pyschcologist soon) the valving is most effective in making the system either lineal or progressive in it’s action as this is best undertaken by hydraulic resistance.

But again as i said… what would i know i haven’t done my own suspension work in 15 years.

Poor Bugger he is lucky from the sound of it.
    Hope he recovers well.

Much of my riding is done with a long time mate of mine, just the two of us, more or less whereever the trails take us on any given day, about a year ago we were riding down a storm littered track confident no way was a four wheeler anywhere about, tooling along all of a sudden Craig has a bullbar coming at him sideways at a great rate of knots, as he took evasive action (speared off into the undergrowth) the front of the hilux kissed his hip. We all pulled up, just a bunch of young fellas doing the 4wd equivalent of us, log hopping and secure in the knowledge that the trail was too inaccessible for others to go down……..WRONG.

Just as well it was Craig in lead that section, he’s 10 years younger than me and his reactions are quicker….me I woulda figured out what was going on about the time i was passing through the windscreen saying G’day to the driver.

Be careful lads it is a risk of what we do, but we can to a degree control that risk.
