Quote:Yes Bruce thanks very sad, you are as always right about the authorities using the shock value but how do we fix it?TB
I’m not sure TB, but I do know the importers and dirtbike industry as a whole need to play an active role, they make the money, they need to put something back into helping to secure the future of this recreational activity.
We need unity and a system of communication with all.
I believe there were up to 4 dirtbike deaths last week reported.
It’s out of hand, they (they- being the authorities) can and will use the shock value of loss of human life to further a campaign of anti-bike measures, just wait until after the next election, matters not who holds the reigns, the same public servants who dislike us will be leading the horses.

you blokes wear ear plugs? for real? on dirt?
If you’re doing high speed adv riding have you considered a “dual purpose” helmet, cause a good road helmet (Arai, shoei et al;) is almost silent inside.
Personally I choose cool over wind noise in the dirt, but having said that most of my riding is at less than 40kphBruce Cee
Probably don’t get earplugs on dirtbikes cause I’m fairly deaf in the right ear, Wearing hearing protection using chainsaws and logging machinery only became common in the late eighties, by then it was a little too late for some
Police believe recent sightings of a large purple hippopotamus running through the weeding bells state forest weilding a hedge trimmer may indeed be related to an incident several years ago at the old Coffs Harbour Zoo when several Hippos were found riding around on honda XR70s with an american tourist after eating what authorities can only describe as “hydroponically and genetically altered marijuana” it wasn’t long afterwards the zoo was closed and the fate of those Hippos remains a mystery. Police are asking all public to be on the lookout and under no circumstances approach the animals as they are considered armed and dangerous

It’s only an eight hour drive to Motos’ Area, well worth it IMHO, crikey heard yesterday about a bloke who left melbourne monday arvo, to look at a bike he found out about sunday night in sydney, and picked it up yesterday.

plus it’s orange, so it goes faster than a bike that holds it’s breath until it’s blue in the face

Yep the dying from lack of breathe sequence goes,
Blue>Orange>Red>Yellow, once you hit yellow you’re good as dead…….

Quote:No worries TB. Still getting a giggle picturing you and Mick going for it on the 70. It must be something to do with this thread. Puff PuffCrikey the CRF0s’ forks are typical Hinda at the best of times…. Soft and undersprung, I can only imagine what it woulda looked like with a couple of burly Gents tearing round on them…. .
XR70 you should be fine for immigration to our sunburnt country as long as you have no Prior convictions against your name, we prefer our criminals home-schooled here.
We didn’t let Snoop-Dog or Freddy fender in for those reasons…BC
This is just getting plain sad.
Tb I’ve got a beaut pair of Universal Solex CRF handlebars here, didn’t suit the KX (too high) that you may want to look at when you’re up. Bit of bling and good vibe dampening as well.
