Nah I’m sure TB, I will agree it’s gotta be the right rider as one thing I still more than hold my own on is the blacktop, ridden motards and to this day the quickest mountain twisty road bike is IMHO the TZr250sp, the midcorner speed and roadholding is phenominal I could get one through the carousel and bustop combo at Lakeside quicker than an ex-aussie superbike rider could a full motarded DR650. Some of the cult roadies are purpose built with almost perfect geos/suspension and still come in under 140 kg wet stock with over 60 usuable HP ex factory and good torque.
I’ve been to ride days at eastern creek and lakeside where people have said “look at the chooky he’s passing that bloke on the corner” but it’s always the rider, a well tuned lightweight roadie would be faster in the same hands, as always it’s 90% rider, having said that all the motards I’ve ridden have been a blast but always leave me thinking ’bout time i bought another tar muncher…………
which I am later this year……..
wanted this particular model for 17 years and the Missus agrees the time is near.
But it’s all fun Dudes and Dudettes, even harleys’ have fun factor, ever tried to emergency brake on one??????

The english language elvolves and morphs quite quickly, for examle years ago a Dag up here was an idiot, yet in Vic it was trendy, I think if we tried to spell the words that we do use better we could then maybe look at terminology. And BTW Master Menace tho thou art indeed an uncouth scoundrel one indeed does grow fond of such tomfoolery, henceforth you shall be the jester of the realm.
Motards are fun, but are more or less short hop adrenaline rides, but they ain’t gunna catch a 600 supersport or a250 proddy up a mountain twisty blacktop.
Sorry TB but this smacks of “grumpy old man syndrome” I reckon unless it’s spelt wrong repeatedly of it’s txt spk let it be, unless of course you wish to alienate people.
for example “old mate” is quite accetable to me, and Dude has been used amongst the finbacks since i was a grommet.Swearing on open forum however is probably less acceptable to many, than a word that one province doesn’t like.

If I’m hard on it, say at MX track, balls of feet to give me a bit more “body spring” cruising round the forest usually seated with feet on pegs just behind the balls of feet front of arch.
Whatever gives best control at the moment, like elbow position you have an attack and a “normal riding” approach.BC
Bugger, never know what’s around the next corner do we?
fire, not kidding then diesel on the remnants, now this isn’t overly practical on crown lands may land you in a spot of bother, so a Machete with a good fall and blade (canecutters knife) is the preferred hand method for I.
tends to tangle up on brushcutters spend more time unwinding the cwap

Dan mine uses the last generation of the 46mm and the yamaha seal were notorious for leaking in them, but I’ve got a set of teflony double lipped thingies now and nary a weep for 18 months, the KTM was the same until terry haye put something similar in for me. The ’07 YZ forks were supposed to be pretty good gear, obviously the WR didn’t share the same ones, o and for the uninitiated the forks aren’t Yamaha, they’re Kayaba/KYB, I don’t know of a manufacturer that makes their own shocks or forks, although I seem to remember Showa are owned by Honda.

Menace yeah I know, actually they’re rebadged well engineered cars that what ford and holden were churning out at that time.
glad the burger was tasty, haven’t met one myself that didn’t have some appeal
Ok, courtesey of Muc-OffTM and Old Bulls I received my FREE bottle of bike wash late last year.
Now not having ridden in around 2 and 1/2 months what is a bloke gunna clean? I know the cars always get a good sevicing over the Xmas break, so I went with my bottle of PINK Muc-OffTM in my mitts.Firstly I attacked the Lasers engine bay, and being a ford it had some oil residue laying around and other cruddy looking stuff that Fords leak when stressed (being driven is stressfull enough to a ford car) a few quick squirts, left for a few minutes and wash off with normal hose and presto shiny shiny gunk free engine bay…
Missus thought I actually scrubbed it.
Next was My Rodeo, engine bay in it is usually fairly tidy so just a quick wash around with a little Muc-OffTM and it looked brand spankers, but underneath I spied a bit of a gearbox leak  and so off I went Muc-OffingNot TM’d my heart out, by the time I finished it was clean enough to eat Menaces tea off, laughing.
Would I recommend it- yep, so much so my riding mate actually paid for some for His bikes, and he’s pretty frugal with the money too.

Great to hear of Laddies, that’s great Connor, now you’ll have to get the old fella to takes some photos for us of you in the rhythm section.
Dave You’re credit to the sport mate, the coach here while a nice bloke and good coach for teenagers and older ones is
a- not good at relating to the real younger ones
b- over $200 a session….
While I don’t mind spending money ( oh believe me I’m good at that) it rankles a bit when you know what the standard rates are elsewhere.
Keep up the good work Mr Rat and his talented students

So if it so dangerous why ride it?, I’ll tell you why because it is so challenging and dangerous…
otherwise it would never get ridden.. DOH
and the whinger in the port mac local, notice the jacket and what I was saying about their lairy outfits…?
what happened to good old black leathers for protection not for Milan or boulevarde cruising.
As stated you ride to the conditions and if you come unstuck in a single vehicle accident, I’m sorry who else is there to blame?

How big is it and how the heck would you “lose” it?
Hello Pauly, nice to make your virtual acquaintaince as it were, what model WR is it you ride?
South coast is a magical area for riding, and beautiful weather, couldn’t ask for a better spot eh?
I’m at work if that counts TB, Most of our workforce took 5 weeks leave so we have just askeleton crew, and most of the town is at the beach, so between no work or public related incidents I’m just reviewing procedures and waiting for my one o’clock meeting with our legal person.
So here I am…..

G’day Katgirl nice to make your virtual acquaintaince, nothing wrong with midlife crisis or going through a second childhood if it involves bikes, I’ve been having my original childhood for a while now (40+ years) with bikes.
you’ll have fun on the big trans-island ride, nothing like the open road with mates and your bike, it’s a grand country and no better way to see it.
Any time on a bike is better than no time on a bike that’s for sure.
