Cush drive as TB stated is a must, WR’s throw gearboxes on firetrails from shock loading and see as we share the the same basic internals with you (YZ250s’) it’s no wonder, as TB said all derived from the MX box, which when you have it apart stuns you it takes what it does.
Now if you don’t put a cush drive hub on and you do big road kays, can i have your 1st, 4th and 5th gears when you get a new gearbox?
I’m sick of doing 55ks an hour on transport sections……Bruce
Bappy Hirthday Mr D, may all your dreams be of yamahas.

Yep I understand and the Superfriends are all “unavailaible during moving times too aren’t they?… typical bloody superheroes unless there’s a front page headline in it for them they’re not interested.

Surely there is more to the tour than this, what about the groupies? the drugs? the drinkin’? the injuries? the trip home?
Bruce Cee.
Way Cool Mick, sometimes the best fun is had mucking around with mates and kids in the paddock, reminds me of family get togethers when I was a nipper and my roadbike riding uncles would take turns at wrecking our racebikes… usually picking themselves off the ground mumbling about “powerbands and peaky little mongrels”
TB obviously isn’t used to that sort of cornering prowess from a bike so the counterbalance come out of fear….
And the 125 does appear to be sitting low in the stroke there doesn’t it…. has the sterring angle changed since ???

Always remember Gentlemen, we are the elder statesmen of our sport, not testerone & drug charged twenty-somethings, the little fuury bloke was being fair dinkum in his sharing of his pride and joy.

I agree Mr Menace, the other KTM300 I ride with carries it’s weight even higher than yours and the rear suspension is a nightmare on those little logs I hopped yours over.
Boony if you’re a biggish bloke and you can get the bike down to 125 wet you’d be laughin’ cause as Mr Menace said his is light to him, but I reckon he’s got a few pounds on me.
Gotta say tho Menace those motors are still the most versatile and friendly unit around, lugs like Thomas, and the forks remind of what WP was in the 80’s top notch.
By crikey I love riding Motorbicycles around the scrub, but I will not enjoy riding anything else around the scrub…..
there just for you Bud
