Lots of good ones out there Ecks, My preference is too far away for you, esp when you already have a good man in mind.

If you’re happy stay with him.

BTW what size are the forks on yours?

Actually scrolling through those photos, Moto you ARE a good looking bloke can see why the sandwich shop girl had her eye on you, if I rolled that way (which I don’t not that there is anything wrong with that) I be checking you out too, cause you remind me very much of another good looking bloke I know……………….

Me… it’s the heavyset brow, jawline and perfect skull shape, but your ears are a bit smallish for my tastes :P

Actually you do, my Missus picked it out… what an absolute bugger for both of us.

The s-12s wear fairly quickly, but give excellent grip
the M-12s not as predictable, but still really good, waer is excellent too.
Dunlop D742F, not as happy on really hardpack, but predictable when it lets go, excellent on everything else except yellow slimey hard clay, but nothing grips on that stuff, not even T-boots :( wear is quite good, three rears to one front.

Actually after yesterdays ride this thread inspired me to go and drop my triples another 5mm to a total of 14.5mm now, as yesterday I was having a little trouble with the tight going steering response, took a ride on a mates highly modded DRZ300 and liked his steering in S/T better, then read this and thought “may as well”

Glad you’ve made the bike your own now Beemer, I’m with Robo on the 952’s can’t believe they have the dunlop name on them, so either your bike loves that compound or the other tyre was a complete nightmare, for the front I highly recommned S-12/M-12 comps or Dunlop 742F.
The light front end, have you dropped the triple clamps a bit to help that?, never know may help, does on a lot of bikes.

That’s a terrific report and looks like an even better time is being had. I know some of the trails you blokes are doing and I reckon that area, Orara and up Dorrigo would be some of the best riding country around. Wishing I could’ve come along now.

As I sit here with Lanatana marks on both arms and the side of my face and bruising on my sides, I feeling for you and am glad you’re OK STM, that southern WaWhile is thorny stuff and strong as, you’re lucky or highly skillful to have hung on until it let go of it’s host, so keep having fun lads, may the gods of speed be on yer side, not your bikes.

Ok so now I’m fairly sure I’m on the right path.
Just back from 4hrs in dusty gritty heat up the ranges and the chain is nice and free, coating is still on sprocket valleyss and sideplates, I cut the scraper back off the chain and i have ZERO, NIL, NUDA, Absolutely NO chainstretch for over 8 hrs of bike time now, 35mm freeplay cold at the start of this experiment, and 35mm of freeplay cold today after the ride, and we did some nasty tracks with sharp hills and gullies and dry trails so it was a good test.
Think I’ll keep on this path.

But gee it looks and sounds the part.

Tell them it would appear that all the good newshounds are doing their own independant story gathering these days… sorta like the old days, remind them that if you don’t have different content to big sister, no-one will buy both rags. You’ll be hailed as amrketing genius and lauded all around the district as the man who gets the news….

Or they’ll tell you to Phark off, what’d one of your idiot intenret mates come up with that?

I’m actually excited to be able to go out and play with the other big boys tomorrow, cause last night I fitted a
    Brand new bash plate
    New radiator guards
and just for abit of bling (cause they were only $10 more on the overall price) a really shiny pair of frame protectors, that I actually reckon are a bit “menacing”.
what with my fresh new top end, improved front brakes, recently purchased helmet, gloves and near new MSR boots I’ll be able to hit trees far more stylishly now, and break even more stuff.

(except radiators, I never want to wreck my radiators again have you priced them suckers, cheaper & easier to grenade a motor)
