Looks like fun, good to see you back into it Murph. I’m out for a while longer yet but hope to get back on the bike later in the year. Life is very busy at the minute so no time for riding.
My young bloke lives down that way now, when he was stuck he stayed at clarks on clovelly road, They are a shoe box with own bathroom and shared kitchen facilities and possible off street parking depending on your luck.. Pretty basic accommodation for about 270 per week but no long term lease so might be handy while she shops around. Probably something similar further south though.
Gotta say city accommodation sucks

Id recognize those safety glasses anywhere dude …..you made the switch to a 2 banger! … woohoo :side:
Nice bit of kit bols, nothing like a new toy to bring in the new year. Hang on to the big girl
Fun fact, my old man worked on the original bikes from the first movie, modifying bikes to look like they were from the apocalypse. Basically wrecking the paint, throwing a saddle on em and putting big rear sprockets on the bikes so they could pull a wheelie easy for the stunt riders
He was quite impressed with the modern crop of mad max machines, said they went to a hell of a lot more trouble this time around customizing the bikes. Alot more creativity and time went into those machines than the originals …. so there ya go, you should have been suitably impressed by the mad max bikes, best ones so far
Hey Ollie,
Glad to see someone remembered to take a camera, I even managed to leave my phone at home.
We had a great run down the old pacific highway on the roadies, was great to stretch out the MT on some tight bends.
Three bikes really grabbed my interest
The Triumph Thruxton R Spec ……. uuurrrggghh
The custom indian scout at the bikesales stand was coolBUT

The supercharged kawasaki HP2 was also awesome
and so were the cafe racers, and the backflips
My two cents worth, just about to buy my third one of these awesome machines.
The needles etc that come with bike give you all the configuration you could want. Dont be afraid to play, see the manual for where to get started.
GAP YOUR PLUGS. Heaps of blokes with 2 strokes don’t do this and wonder why new plugs only seem to last a few rides. Put the standard plug in and just give the ground electrode a couple of light taps until the gap is closed by about a third. I used feeler guages once upon a time but now the care factor has lessened
Its a simple fix but incredibly common, hope its your problem. 1 plug lasts me about a year or so, I always carry a spare though and have given a few away
Running 50:1 Btw with no probs at all but did play with needles and clips to improve fuel economy to get 110 ks or so out of a tank
Kids party on the Saturday night so I have been volunteered to assist in preparations on Saturday.

Ill be busy re-attaching my veranda roof
