Merlyn is still doing OK, 6 broken ribs that make funny sounds if he takes a big breath. Im staying away at the minute because I have the flu, as soon as this damned cough clears up Ill be down to see him again.

Great Weekend and a Massive thanks to TB and all the dudes that contribute to the rides. Simply awesome. You could spend weeks in that area and not find a fraction of the tracks we rode on the weekend.

Ill be putting together some video and pics later on as time allows. After a fantastic weekend Merlyn had an off on the KTM about 20 minutes out of St Albans that saw him airlifted to Royal North Shore hospital with spinal injuries. He has come through the surgury well and has movement back in his arms and legs. He has pins and plates from his C3 to T5 and is a very lucky boy to say the least.

Special thanks to hopper on the WR who stuck around and helped out with the ambos and bike recovery.

Thanks heaps I will try and borrow one tomorrow either way see you at the commercail tomorrow evening looking forward to my first ride with the “Big Boys”.
    Hopper

Garmin had to replace mine twice before I got one that works, there good when they are going but the quality assurance in Garmin must be hit and miss

At least there customer service is good, only a little bit of arm twisting and got the last Dud replace with a brand new one. fingers crossed it actually finishes a nav ride.

G’day Junior , welcome to the asylum .

That advice on the bash plate is serious , I’ve seen the sump plug ripped out of a KLR on the trail and the bike became a write off as a consequence  , It was a brand spanker too . It was not lowered either , just used a little beyond it’s designers intention , ie , leaping off erosion mounds ( was only 2 ft off the ground max :) )

Keep the antics up though and we’ll all get a giggle eventually I’m sure .

Linz you’ll look great in those boots , I’m sure you’ll get the offer of a bed on Saturday night if you wear those , ;) no tent then  .

You dont need em plindz, it would spoil all the fun oh master of the dis-mount :silly: ;)

Spoke with Skyrider today, somehow he found out there might be hills and his little german inspired testicles retracted into the back of his throat ;) ….. He is out.

He may have mentioned something about work as well.

    Weather put you off mate?

    Should be a good ride

Yup, had a look at the thunderstorms forecast for the morning and definately no fun riding in the rain with glasses, cant see with em or without :)

Just my luck the rain will stay away for the ride too :S
