Nato I do have photos of it but cant for the life of me work out my photobucket, does just look a little scuffed though

I had an off at about 100KLM on Watagan forrest road a few years back. Knocked myself out for about an hour and still cannot remember one bit of that whole Sunday except for the surreal experience of waking up at about 5pm, mate tells me I never slept and even road the bike back to his house. Thats the only helmet I have ever retired because of a crash, maybe had another couple of rides before I got around to it though
If your riding with people who are quite a bit better than you, my experience is that you are more likely to come off until your riding improves. If your riding at your limit often maybe buy an Rjays or Zues helmet, there are plenty of lower priced alternatives out there James. They dont have quite the fit and finish but my Rjays Dakar from memory was only 200. I ride with ear plugs anyway so a little bit of wind noise on the cheaper lid was not an issue. Sucker for a bargain and more pennies for toys in the shed
Wow , I have found someone else that actually admits to riding on their limit , I didn’t realize I was but was told I was after a few offs , one thing I didn’t do though was go and buy a cheaper lid that I could afford to sacrifice should I land hard on the noggin , I hope I’ve read into what your saying the wrong way Mr. Squiggle because surely we should be buying better lids if we expect to crash and not going for the cheaper disposable option to save a $$$ ??
I have an Arai head in the adv range and reckon they would save me as good as any Shoei or similar quality brand however the RJays I bought first was ok on the day I bought it but inferior quality foam ( or something ) soon made it sloppy and uncomfortable enough to stop wearing it !!
Nick
they are fine nick, just buy one that is tight at the shop, it loosens up and is perfect. Wore mine again today riding the 300 on murphs ride

Wigster wrote:Just a quick heads up for all Tiger owners.I have the pre-filter fitted. No discernible difference in power and main filter MUCH happier now. (you should have seen mine after the St Albans nav ride).
But a week after the Lithgow ride my Tiger blew the main fuse so lots of pretty lights few a few seconds then no starty. For some reason best known to Triumph the main 30 amp fuse is under the battery and a pig to get at.
What had happened was that all the red clay in the Lithgow area had been flung up underneath the bike and had blocked the drain hole in the battery box. Which of course had filled with water over the next wet Sydney week, submerging and shorting the fuse.
There is a mod that can be done to relocate the fuse to the top of the battery. I’ll be doing it as soon as I buy a soldering iron and learn how to use it. How hard can it be?
Wigster
My 30Amp fuse blew the other day and I replaced. Stupid place to put it. The manual is useless but a bit of tracing of battery cables and it soon turned up. If your’e in the hunter valley I am pretty handy with a soldering iron, we can do both of the them
Hey Amy, now it really looks likes yours mate.
Hey Amy, your back
Its really looking great now, Ill see if I can grab another sneak peak shot for you tonight from the side. It looks really good ….. and girly.
Pass on the deep and meaningful though, if your’e up for drunk and shallow that I can do
Ill offer an alternate opinion. Riding dirt bikes I reckon I fall off about once a ride when I am pushing, cant be buying a new helmet each time. If the helmet has obvious damage, dinged or cracked definately replace. If damage is superficial, scuffed or marked, even scratches or a bit of gravel rash, I dont worry. I reckon I have helmets here that have been crashed a couple of dozen times
Depends on your personal risk-o-meter james but mine would have to take a bloody big hit for me to throw it away. Push on the foam around the helmet with the lining out, then on the area around the damage, if there is no movement to indicate a “Gap” under the damaged area mine would be going straight back on my noggin for better or worse.
If you crash next week and your head explodes because your helmet was stuffed I am deleting this post
Trailboss wrote:Nice work Shane, I know what a pain in the ass the filters are to get to. Fancy having to pull the tank off to do the air filter and lest not talk about want need to be taken off to get the tank off
When I fitted the one to the Adv Moto tiger the pre filter stops it getting to the filter, happy daysTB
Glad to hear it, triumph designers should come down here and do a run across central australia before the release an updated version. Love the rest of the bike and that motor is just a dream.
Did you do anything with rear suspension TB?

Hopefully something blokey please, spending time looking at Amys helmet makes me want to talk about my feelings and cook. I had to get out of there before permanant damage was done
Ace wrote:Same with 800 Beemer Mr Squiggle. A pain in the arse to change air filters. A set of uni filters coming soon. That filter is filthy mate. How long since it wad changed?
A one day ride through the barringtons and the Nav ride ace, the snorkel has a rubber bra but dust tends to feed into the under-seat area from the wheel well just behind the engine. Im going to see how the unifilter goes and if needs be stuff the gaps with something that will not catch fire and kill me or beef up the rubber curtain with some clark rubber product. Hopefully problem solved though as is.
Another sneak peak …. its Amy’s turn
The flying fish theme helmet is definately taking shape
with some very unique, japanese inspired, wave artadam wrote:Murph I’m outNo cam chain available from KTM at the moment
They restrict your ability to source from anywhere you like and then don’t stock them at the only place you can 👿
Go figure
Adam.
Thats no good adam, no cam chain on a 2 stroke
Murph can you please put me down for this one with a maybe +1
Its been a couple of years since I have ridden the watagans so should be interesting, gets pretty chewed out up there at times. We used to ride slippery rock and georges with a couple of very cool singles to link it all together. Its been a while
