Here is another video, probably the last me-thinks. This is the climb out of Turon on the rocky section, still trying to teach the Triumph how to fly. This was another one of those sections you just wanted to turn around and ride again. Some great footage of that bling tenere.

Merlyn came over tonight and forgot to bring his sony camera, may be able to knock up a ride report once all the footage has arrived.

Was great fun riding with two really blinged motorcycles, Plindz WR is a cracker and it certainly has to earn its keep! The Tenere looks great and here is some more footage of same ….

edit: just watched this back and youtube really stuffed the quality, not sure why … doh

Big thanks to the barrett boys for the pickup. He had plenty of time to enjoy Bilpin, his lift home arrived just short of 10PM :)

Following is a couple of short clips of the muddy hill and the second of the steep decents in the logging area. The first decent was a bit steeper but both were fun! Not much happens on the tail end of the video :)

    Well,
Here it is, TB has asked me to start the report off :)
It has already been an eventful afternoon :pinch: A call to me from Plindz around 2.30pm to ask if I can assist with recovering a stranded 990 from Mountain Lagoon Rd. Mr Squiggle`s ride partner`s ride has called it a day (maybe it knows of what`s to come tomorrow)

A few calls back & forth and looks like our good mate Jason Barrett is on the job once again.
I am waiting till Jason finds the guys and puts the offer to them of me driving down tonite to retrieve the bike from Bilpin !!!

Anyway, here are the Spot links for

TB, PTW & FLYING FISH (Leader group)

All the other groups will be in between these two Spot Trackers anyway.

I will update the situation on the 990 later,, maybe much, much later tonite once all is sorted  B)

    Hi Eags,
Thanks very much for the offer but we managed to get a pickup in my ute from newcastle to save you the hassle but really appreciate the gesture.

Was looking at coming up wheelbarrow ridge from wisemans but ill go plot that one as well and give it a look tomorrow evening, we can put it to the vote then

    Time for shut eye.

Thanks for the offer TB, I can understand why this forum is so active with support like that :)

I am really enjoying the route plotting with basecamp at the moment so will just route around it and throw the occasional question your way if that is OK.

God I hate track closures, NP needs new management

    Hey TB,
Do you know if the Boree track is open or gated off nowdays? Looking at options for Friday when we ride through to St Albans, was thinking of over the wattagans and then onto the boree if Plindz is keen

    Hey TB,

Skyrider is a scratch for the nav ride, he has work commitments that have come up and cannot make it. Can you take him off the list, thanks.

Sounds fun wolfie, I have a Metzler Karoo rear and kenda bigblock front here somewhere I will throw on this week, that and some throttle should take care of the mud 👿

hopefully some extra layers will keep the blood flowing, depends on what TB has in stall for us. A little bit of the unexpected makes life interesting so bring it on eh :)

Your well oiled machine does look abit grumpy ;)

Version1 of XC forks back from RJ Moto and fitted up tonight, a quick run up a local track in the dark but feels much better already. Triumph should be good to go pending a proper test tomorrow.

Looking forward to the ride, if a little suspicious of that forecast

Jarvis, killing it with a big lead. Hope he has got all the checkpoints or he is going to be one cranky pom.

    Hi Wolfie,

Sorry I missed your post, the material doesnt matter, carbon or poly carbonate are both fine. Its generally cheaper to get just the plain black or white, these come already clear coated and ready for Alison to paint.

Generally Alison will simply prep and use a base coat to seal and begin the artwork. If its for a good cause I think you will find Mrs Squiggle will definately look after you. I will PM you her mobile number.

    Happy shopping
